No. The US is the new colonial and imperialist empire. If you knew anything about Guevara (whose picture you use for an avatar), you'd know that.

The Shrub Whitehouse is run by idiots who are key signitors of the "Project for a New American Century". Here is a partial list of those involved in this criminal venture. You'll notice that all are proponents of or participants in the illegal wars in Afghanistan and Iraq as well as other interventionist activities. (These assholes are so brazen that they have a website to promote it.)

When you hear the phrase, "New American Century", try and keep in mind the Nazist slogan, "Reich of a Thousand Years". The names are not the only similarities.

Read pages 50 and 51 here, especially the last paragraph I quoted:
http://newamericancentury.org/RebuildingAmericasDefenses.pdf
---------- ---------- ---------- ---------- ----------
V
CREATING TOMORROW’S DOMINANT FORCE
To preserve American military preeminence in the coming decades, the Department of Defense must move more aggressively to experiment with new technologies and operational concepts, and seek to exploit the emerging revolution in military affairs.

[...]

A transformation strategy that solely pursued capabilities for projecting force from the United States, for example, and sacrificed forward basing and presence, would be at odds with larger American Rebuilding America’s Defenses: Strategy, Forces and Resources for a New Century policy goals and would trouble American allies.

Further, the process of transformation, even if it brings revolutionary change, is likely to be a long one, absent some catastrophic and catalyzing event – like a new Pearl Harbor.

Gee, wasn't 9/11 called a "new Pearl Harbor" by many in the right wing media? (The "liberal media" is a lie; name *one* media that is owned by someone who hates the Repubichair party.)

I don't think the USA is necessarily the new globocop, I think its more about our current administration. Some of our allies could also be looked at as globocops, long before we were around.
