Because she is a woman! All woman are the same and this does not mean they are bad people, it's just that they like to think they are superior and for a quiet life you should let them believe this, what harm does it do? Men know they are superior to women so why make a thing about it!
If this annoyes you that women always have the last word then a suggestion is when you are out of hearing reach, you have the last word, that way she thinks she is supperior and you know that you had the last word, now everyone is happy!

They do not need the last word. You wimp give it to them, you chicken out, and then satisfy your insicurity by imagining that they are aggressive, when all the time, it is you who are weak, and need and excuse for it.
