I want to form a Political Party that bases its self solly on Biblical Principles and serving God.

Through this I wish to weed out the corruption in the republic and restore, the rights of the parents, citizens, and do away with all federal taxes and allow the Customs agency full authority to collect Fines, Fees, and Tarrifs, perscribed by the Executive branch.

I would like to get rid of all the sales tax of the States and implament a 2% sales tax that is included in the prices, and will be used to fund the Federal Government.

There is allot more I want to change, especially bringing all levels of Government back to its christian roots.

Do you support that? Please give me intelligent suggestions.

I am not Catholic, so stop with the prejudice remarks and start stating something that shows you have critical thinking abilities for once.

It's fine as long as you don't mind being seperated from the State. I'm not sure how much you can accomplish without the ability to make laws based on your party beliefs.

Be careful what one prays for, often God will give you it just to show you humility in your hubris. I know of men who have prayed for rain and then been drowned in the downpour.

In this Jeffersonian Democrasy, the freedom from religion was and is judged to be just as important as from to practice religion. There is a reason we have kept a wall between the state and church.

The founders saw the horrors and bloodshed that had laid even Christians nations low. England had fought Christian against Christian in their Parlimentary war. France had their St. Bartholomew's Day massacre. The Irish still kill Irish and all for Jesus.

Put on your thinking cap as to what it would be like if your utopian Christian party lost to a likewise adamantly Catholic party. Now all practices would have to be Catholic. Or maybe the next government would be Mormon. Are you ok with that? Sun Myung Moon thinks he is the messiah, BTW, and is VERY RICH. You ok with the Unification Church running your government?

I hope not!

Just because someone puts on the cloak of righteousness, my friend, does not mean they will act with moral uprightness. You know it and so do I. Watch the snakes immediately take over the true believers and there you go again. I would suggest you read _It Can't Happen Here_ by Sinclair Lewis. Very very good book.

BTW, Masonry, despite what you may have read online, makes no demands upon its members that is contrary to Christianity. Just that the members leave off discussing religion inside the Lodge.

The United States Government does not have Christian roots. It has roots based upon the Enlightenment of the 1700s when men saw that kings were not there because of God. Many of the founders of this country were Deists and Masons.

This is as reasoned and intelligent as I can make it. I am a scientist, historian, a graduate of Baylor University, a believer in God, a believer in freedom, a Vietnam vet, and an American Co-Mason.

The moment you start bringing God into politics is the day that a democracy is destroyed. Why? Because men are corruptible and can misuse their power. Right now they have little to shield them in a secular government because there is little justification that they can use for their corrupt ways (unless they are experts at lying). In a religious political party these corrupt people now have an instant shield which does not require much thought... they can say that God wills it or its the "Christian" thing to do.

Also remember that no nation now has a state religion or a fairly homogenous population which has one belief/religion. Unless you are going for all out theocracy then it would not be wise to alienate non-Christians with policies that are decidedly pro-Christian.

Morality in politics may be desirable... but what I am essentially saying is religion + politics is a far too dangerous combination to be left in the hands of common men (and unless you are that prideful of yourself you are a common man and therefore cannot be trusted with such power).

The world is already overrun with deluded Christian do gooders attempting to fix what God has determined to destroy.

If someone cares to read it, the Lord stated in very clear terms that His kingdom was not of this world. With the death of Christ on the cross, God began to create a new heaven and a new earth.

God's program is nearly finished but the devil continues to hire cowboys to ride a dead horse.

This country rejected Biblical principals a generation ago. There is no going back. They have no God they will repent to.

To be blunt, a "Christian" political party (could there be such a thing) is a waste of your time and very likely your soul.

I am guessing that you are discussing this from the point of view of an American system. I am also guessing that you are suggesting a change to the constitution as well. I am a citizen of Australia.

I am interested to read what your views of a defence force for such a Christian state would be. Would you proscribe to the doctrine of a 'Just War'? Similar to the Catholic church?

Servant of Jesus Christ,
After Jesus returns, then MAYBE. Otherwise it'll be a political party, and that's not our job. Our job is to bring the Gospel to the Earth. Not form organizations for politics. I'll bet you, it would turn into a den of thieves! Why?

They are POLITICIANS of course!

I don't see why it would be necessary. You could just as easily form a party based on all the same principles without isolating yourself and segregating the religions. You would have a broader base, strengthening your party's political leverage.

Keep religion out of politics and politics out of religion. Who wants a government dictating what religion you belong to or telling you what you can believe? Forget it!
