1. Confession? (If you're Catholic, explain to me why you go to a priest instead of asking God's forgiveness directly?)

2. Divorce? I've heard some say no biggie, God forgives anything & everything. Others say NO WAY, since Jesus was flat out against it in the bible.

4. Mary? Not that she is worshiped as some people believe, but rather adored as the mother of Jesus. Some religions forbid even discussing her, yet others have Fatima.

5. Do you believe in the devil? If so, why don't more people expect and recognize evil and avoid it? (I know, the devil is tricky, etc. But, wouldn't a true believer catch on and avoid temptations, and the like?)

6. How many believe in demons? Anyone physically seen one or do most believe they're invisible, figment of imagination, etc.

Call the questions dumb and stupid or otherwise. I'm just wondering what most people believe.

1) Confession (in the cathloic sence) is not right the bible clearly states that you can confess and speak with God directly. in romans 10:10 it says "For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation." now at the end is says ".... with the mouth confession is made unto salvation." and then look at verse 13 where it says "For whosoever call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved." now looking at those it says call upon the name of the lord to be saved, now it dosent say you need someone there to tell you what to say or to be the middle man. from those two verses you can tell that from verse 10, talking about with the mouth confession is made unto salvation, and verse 13 where is says calling upon the Lord, that you dont need a middle man when it says call upon the name of the Lord it means talking directly to him.

2) The only thing i can say to the devorce thing is read 1 corinthians 7 where it talks all about marage and devorce.

3) same thing again look at 1 corinthians 7

4) I do believe theres a devil and the reason people dont expect and reconize it is because he is really good at what he dose, from the momment that we are born our lives are bombarded with sinful natures, and our lives are numbed buy pride and sin in the same sence. so when we see or hear someone do or say someting thats not godly we dont think anyhting of it and we fall farther in to the world, and this dosent happen all over night it happens little by little, the devil will play you and get you to comprmise and then he'll get you to do it again and again and again till your compleatly doing a sin by your own will and with full knowledge. the devil will try anything to get you to sin because he wants to hurt God by makeing us hurt him, and by destroying us (by our souls going to hell) because we are God's greatist creation. i hope i answered that question enough for you.

5) I do believe there are demons, the bible dose talk about them, where jesus cast the demons in to the pigs out of a man and they ran in to the river and drown. but they aren't what the world pictures them as today, they are angels in a sence, but they are the devils angels (aka:demons). when God cast the devil down in to the pit of fire that burns with fire and brim stone, he also cast his angels with him. demons cant be physically seen because they cant take physical form, they are in a spiritual form and thats come to the conclusion by how the devil sined, when the devil sined he had no body to sin with he was only a spirit, pride was his sin that cast him in to the lake of fire. he became prideful in his heart (spirit) and said that he would be the equal to God and was punished cause of it. but seeing as he had no physical body to sin with thats how we know that they cant be physically seen.

1. Not a Catholic, can't answer.
2. Matt. 5:31: Jesus voiced God's decision on divorce. It should only be allowed under circumstances of adultry.
3. Mary gave birth to Jesus. She was well thought of by God. Nowhere in the Bible, though, does it say she should be worshipped.
4. I believe that there is a Devil, called Satan. Satan is very crafty and slick, so even if imperfect human true believers tried to recognize evil, Satan will sometimes disguise himself as an "angel of light", making things seem good when they're actually bad. Imperfect humans, try as they may, might not recognize the temptations of Satan the Devil.
5. Satan the Devil and his demons were cast down to earth. They are invisible spirit creatures, although they can manifest themselves any way they want to "get their point across". Not to say that people don't see what they think are ghosts and stuff, but it's really the demons.

Your questions were good. Takes a lot of thought to come up with them.

1. I'm not catholic but I think they do that because they were never taught any different or their just confused.
2. In the bible it does say not to get a divorce but It also says not to commit adultry so that means the only reason to divorce or husbend/wife is if they cheat on you.
4.Mary was jesus's mother. The People that only worship her and no one else, well thier idiots and the people that don't mention her at all are just plain stupid.
5. The Devil does exist. People do see when evil comes their way they just pretend they don't. And sometimes they don't cause they've been blinded by the devil.
6. Demons are real two. They look like normal people but they will hurt you and try to destroy you. Thier like Evil Spirits. Some are bad and some are really really bad.

1. Not Catholic, confess directly to God.
2. I don't agree with divorce as a rule, but what about grey areas eg abuse etcetera.
3. Where is three?
4. Mary was the mother of Jesus, and I don't know what else to say about her.
5. Yes, I believe in the devil but not the ridiculous sort that one sees in movies. Avoiding temptation? No-ones perfect, so maybe true believers do try.
6. The Bible says that there are demons, so sure.

I'm not Christian but would like to answer your question from an Islamic perspective:

1. Confession: There is no such thing. God is the only One Who forgives. There is no need to make witnesses to our ill-doings who will stand witness against us on the Day of Judgement

2. Divorce: Of those things allowed to a Muslim, divorce is the least liked. Divorce rates are the lowest in the Muslim world.

3. Mary: The most honorable woman in history according to the Qur'an. An honest, chaste, pious lady and the mother of the Messiah, Jesus Christ (p)

4. Devil: Yes, the devil exists, the most he does is whisper in our hearts. In the end, with free will, the decision is still ours.

5. Demons: devil in disguise.

1- sorry not a catholic.

2- yeah, I believe that God gave us the choice of divorce if life between us and our partners can't go on any further.

4- I'd love to answer your forth question. You might not like it because it is coming from a Muslim, but here's what I have to say.

In Islam Mary (of course ) is not worshiped in anyway, but she is highly respected and loved. She was mentioned many times in the Holy Koran as the virgin God chose to send his miracle to (Jesus). Muslims (like you've mentioned have Fatima not only because she was the daughter of Muhammad (pbuh), but also because she highly believed in God and was a good person.
The same thing with Mary, she is a symbol of the woman who had been pure and far away from suspicion, yet her tribe accused her of being a sinner.

My point is that Mary has a high position in Islam, she is highly respected and highly loved in the way Fatima, Khadijah and Aisha did. (peace be upon them all).

5- Yes I do believe in the devil, but who told you that people don't recognize evil? people do recognize evil, they just don't take anytime to think whether they should do it or not. by the way the devil is very smart and tricky, sometimes you'd be doing something and thinking it's good while it is actually bad.

6- I'm not exactly sure what you mean by demons.

1. I ask God directly. However, some sins are big enough that require help from a church leader to be forgiven from. Repentance is; Wanting to be forgiven, Asking to be forgiven, making amends t those who you wronged, forgiving yourself, then never doing it again.

2. I believe that divorce is only necessary when one or both have been "unfaithful" to their spouse, or physical abuse is an issue. And that's only after everything done to keep the marriage together has been done. Marriage too very important and sacred to be just cast aside if it "doesn't work out."

3.[oops missed a number ;)]

4. Mary is an important figure as the mother of Jesus. and she should be talked about. however not worshiped nor prayed to. She is the earthly mother to Jesus, no more. It's a very important job but no more.

5.The devil is real, and so clever to disguise things that can easily blind us. at first things may seem OK, but the next thing we know we be in the middle of a world of hurt. We're human and will make mistakes. And even a true believer can get caught up in the smallest of his trickeries.

6. I do believe in demons. But not in the same sense as Hollywood portrays of the most part. Demons are the fallen angels/spirits that follow Lucifer. Now they serve him to make everyone as miserable. They are spirits (no bodies) that look just like us, and once in a while they can be seen. But normally are "hiding". I know of a few people that have seen them.

1. I am not Catholic. I do believe in confessing sins to Jesus, as a believer in Him.

2.Divorce. I think most people use divorce as an easy out, instead of working out problems, and standing by the promises they made before God, friends, and their spouse. That said I think sometimes it is unavoidable, and God understands: ie: abuse or adultery.

4Mary. I don't think Mary should be worshiped or adored...but respected. She did give birth to the Savior of the world, and God chose her.

5Yes I believe in the devil. You are right he is tricky, but I think even true believers sometimes ignore the signs of his doing because they think it is easier.

6.I do believe in demons, they assist the devil in his work. I have not seen one, but they do exist, they do have an impact on everyday living.

Hope this was what you wanted.

woohoo, new day for responses, lol.

a) I'm jewish so.... not sure if its entirely targeted just at christians or not, but I'm feeling talkative.

1) Confession, Judaism has no confession to other people, there are sections in Yom Kippur services where we confess and repent to God, but thats it.

2) Divorce is allowed if neccesary, honestly its irrational to not allow it, sometimes thigns happen, ect.

4) (where did 3 go?) Mary, well, jesus is of no consequence in judaism, so mary is of even less consequence.

5) no devil as such, theres a "satan" but its nothing like the christian one, and is not evil. more of either god's prosecuting attourney, or the visualization of imperfect impulses within man.

6) Demons, yes, they exist. though this is not a religious belief for me, but a spiritual one, I've had interactions with them, and fought them... so yeah, its kinda just a matter of fact for me.
