okay.........i know its not safe
but is it illegal to ride in the back of a pickup truck?
what about young kids, like 10 and under

illegal in most metro area, may get away in country area if u know the cops on the road but by law it's illegal.

It really depends on your state. I live here in the good 'ol boy South, where people just don't seem to want to pass any laws against riding in the pickup bed -- I guess they don't want to piss off Bubba. Anyway, it's a state-driven law, so you need to check out your state. Legal here.

depends on the state, i think where i live they havent passed the law that says u cant sit in the back of a pickup, however, where i live, most of the time people want to sit in the cab for the a/c,

its ALL illigal, the whole lot,
if you have kids out on the motorway or any public road in the back of a truck its very much illegal and all I can say is for you sake I hope you dont get caught.

Around HERE, you can't even carry a DOG in the back without tying him in. FOR GOOD REASON.

People must have seats and belts to be legal most everywhere.

yes, its illegal, every passenger must be seated in a permantly afixed seat equipped with a seat belt

i'm pretty sure there are seatbelt laws in every state. if there are no seats with seatbelts then it would be illegal.
