How can I make sure I get a Morphine Pump after Knee Surgery?

I am having surgery again on my knee and I just remember that the pain was the worst I have ever felt. SO bad that I would not wish it on a mortal enemy. HOW can I make sure my doctor gives me one for a couple days after my surgery?
