Well, God may know what we are going to do but, he doesn't make us do that. He gave us the free will to pick and chose what we want to do hoping we pick the right choices in life. How would someone say a friend of yours may know what your going to do on something but that doesn't mean that your friend is controlling you now does it? Hope you understand what i am saying here that i said it clear enough.

The idea of free will is a complex thing, not as black and white as many assume.
Say for example you wanted to wear a short sleeved shirt, shorts, and sandals next Saturday, but when you woke up in the morning and looked out your front door it was snowing. Most likely you would dress appropriately wearing warmer clothing than what you had wanted to originally. Did the weather influence your choice? Absolutely. Thus you chose to dress according to the weather.
Lets look at another analogy: Some people would like to drive fast, but they obey the speed limits. Thus the law has influenced their choice. The law influences our free will in many instances. But just because the law so influences us, does that mean we no longer have free will? Or that outside sources so influence our free will thus influencing the choices we make?
That is sort of how God works in human history, and in human activity. He influences us in certain ways.
As for Him knowing all, the Bible attributes omniscience to Him. God is all knowing, but knowing something, or everything about a person does not in any way limit that persons free will. It just means that the choices they make will be known in advance.

Hope this helps.

Hello there;

Well, good question. Anyway, of coarse God knows what we are going to do, he knows everything that goes on on this planet. But the only reason that God gave man kind "Free Will" is because so that humans would take care of the earth by creating a place to live, have a companion or mate and to separate what's right from wrong.

Its not because God gave humans "free will" to do whatever man kind feels like it or to take advantage of that to have wars and kill innocent humans like whats going on these days.

And I don't think that most people seem to realize whats going on, or don't care at all, and is it not to point fingers at any one, and so that anyone take it personally, I'm just trying to make a point, but on the other hand, I do believe that some humans do care about and I believe that the minority of humans are doing something about it. And all we have to do as humans, as creatures of God, is pray so that God helps humans and the world to come to peace.

Of coarse, this is what I believe, I don't know about u.

If u have any doubts, please send me emails to: mariopcgames@comcast.net

Bye4now and take care!

God knows what we're have done, are doing and will do for 2 different reason's. First he knows us and the environment so will he knows what will happen. Second, Gos is all power, so time as we see id irrelevant to him. he doesn't see things in past present and future as we do. We still have free will, we make our own destinies. But Gods is there every step of the way.

One has nothing to do with the other. Let's say I could see into the future so I knew everything that was going to happen. One day you were asked out by a guy and you weren't sure whether or not you were going to accept. I already know that you're going to accept, but I don't say anything. Later in the day you accept the invitation for a date. I knew what you were going to do, but I had absolutely nothing to do with your decision. That was your own free will. Same concept.

God knows what we're going to do, we don't. Just because God can see exactly what we're going to do doesn't mean that we don't have free will. We make choices at every single second of everyday. We can choose to do God's will or choose not to, it's simple. God exists outside of time and therefore sees us at birth and at death and everywhere in between. Just because He knows what we will do doesn't mean He forces us to do it.

You confuse two thoughts...pre-ordained destiny and free will. Free will is to make your own choices, wisely or unwisely and then pay the consequenced. Pre-ordained destiny is that God has selected a route for your life and you have only minimal choices. I am Buddhist and we believe in free will, and suffer the consequence of our follies, but we believe that each life is a learning experience to purify the soul so that we may enter Nirvana (Heaven).

Many get confused with this. Maybe this will help. You ever ask someone something and you knew just what they would say before you asked? If so, why did you ask? Did you make them give that answer?

Most parents who have more then one child, can often know each of them well enough to know what they will do or how they will react to any given stimuli yet they do not make them do that. They simply know their child well enough to know what they would do in any given situation. My friend, GOD knows us enough to know our thoughts before we think them..but YOU do have the choice. One choice each of us has to make is what will we do with Jesus. We know God is not willing for any to perish but He also knows many will not trust Jesus for salvation. Will you? hi. hey i don't know what is ur religion but acoording to mine(Islam) off course God always leads us but it never means that we have not our own choice. God says in holy Quran (( e'amaloo ma she'atom)) which means behave and do as u wish. it means God has given us a brain which we can think. we can understand whta is good and what is bad. so I can say totally God leads us toward everything ( bad and good) and we have our own choice to select.
at end i should inform your according to our belive, every good event is presented by God and whenever we face bad events and problems, we have made us a problem by ourselves. for example if you kill some one or you are arrested because of immorality, who is to be blame? could not you think about youre behaviour and it's result?
god bless you

If God knew what we would do in every situation, he wouldn't need to test to find out what we would do!!!

But God DOES test us.
"Then the Lord said to Moses, "I will rain down bread from heaven for you. The people are to go out each day and gather enough for that day. In this way I will test them and see whether they will follow my instructions." (Exodus 16:4)

God sent Abraham to sacrifice his son as a test.
"Do not lay a hand on the boy," he said. "Do not do anything to him. Now I know that you fear God, because you have not withheld from me your son, your only son." (Genesis 22:12)
Implying that he didn't know until Abraham passed the test.

God doesn't know our actions for sure; though he may have a pretty good idea.
