In a very young puppy with noticeably swollen lymph nodes the first problem that comes to mind is "puppy strangles" or juvenile cellulitis. This is also sometimes referred to as juvenile pyoderma.

Please just get the puppy to the vet as soon as you can..the disease can be fatal, but is very treatable..at his age, you don't want to risk any home remedies..even if it is a spider bite..

take him to the emergency vet right away. If his sister died from a spider bite, this might be one too. A lump that goes half way around the neck certainly is not normal and it sounds like he is having a reaction to something. Please take him to the emergency vet right away, it may cost a bit more, but at least he will be getting th emedical attention he needs.

2 weeks is too young to try any home remedies other than ice on the lump. Check your phone book for 24 hour emergency vets in your area, you will need it if he starts to have trouble breathing. Keep an eye on him until you can get to the vet...or just go now. Odds are it is another spider bite...call Orkin, man. Get rid of those spiders.
