Having lived in my town most of my life i do feel free to walk late at night but i think that is due to the fact i am familiar with the place. I may not feel so safe in a place i did not know, however this would not stop me going out as these days you are not 100% safe in your own home. Just get on with your life as we never know what is round the corner.

Yes, quite safe. I walk freely late at night without any worries. But I'm a male. I don't know if it is as safe for females or not.

I live in Chariton, Iowa. Population is 4500. The most we hear about is people drinking and driving, getting pulled over for speeding, drugs, or the usual domestic violence. The closest murder that I've seen was in Milo which is a little bit smaller, and that was over property. And then of course our capital city which is Des Moines. And there are a few murders up there. Not very often. I couldn't ask for a better place to live. Just wish there were more jobs lol!!

It seemed pretty safe around here at night until the police decided that ANYBODY out after midnight was up to no good. It was even mentioned in our local paper. I thought curfews were for teenagers! Can you imagine what it feels like to be blue lighted while on foot and forced to answer many questions and show ID when you are just out for a walk? I don't have to imagine.

in my neighborhood, yes it is pretty safe to walk around at night, a lot of people walk at night during the summer. however, there could be a possibilty that someone could force you into a car if you walk about half a three quarters a mile down the street from my neighborhood.

I wouldnt' walk around in neighbourhood.. but when I travel to Denmark and stuff. It's completely safe. We walk around til around 1 in the morning and nothing is wrong.

I live in a large Canadian city and I don't lock my doors. It is very safe here. The military police do a fantastic job.

it depends wger u live,if it contians so many disturbing activities then its not a safe place to walk in the night
otherwise its better to walk with someone whom u really know

Yea in Japa in Tokyo in Ginza.There is purry shure all peole are outside .Girl with boy, parents with children all of tham are happy and sure.
