everyone claims this and that, according to what they believe, what they see, what they read, what people tell them...everything by the media. unfortunately i do the same as well, only a few life experience.. then other people counter back that what the media tells them in general are lies, biased, fit to the politicians wants and beliefs, are ways to control the nation. who can we believe now? because of this, our anger most probably are directed to the wrong people.

One time on a day job a fellow worker asked me how I knew USA had put a man on the moon. I told him, "because I saw it on TV with my own eyes!" Since that time I have come to realize that I gave an insufficient answer to his question, and now I have my own doubts about, "one small step for man, one giant leap for mankind, etc., etc., etc...."

A very good question! I think we have to take everything we hear with a grain of salt, that is, not to believe completely anything we're told, until the truth becomes clear. You know the old saying, "The truth will out"? I believe that, because sooner or later the facts about a thing always seem to come out in the end. We just have to reserve judgment as much as we can until we know the facts. As we go along, we get better at guessing whom to trust, and how to smell a liar, but we'll never be perfect at it, so we must always be on guard against being deceived.

Any kind of information can be an illusion because it comes through your sense and sense isn't very distinct.
Ask in your bottom of the heart where your conscience lives, then you choose the information to go with.
But you mean by this question that many people believe just what they say so easily and it's wrong?
Ah, yes, I think so, too. But it's an easy way in your busy daily life.
Anyway, there are many liers out there, I have to take care.

You're right about one thing: Everybody, EVERYBODY gets most of their info from very casual, haphazard sources. Then, they come here or on message boards and proceed to lecture other people for never reading a book, and just listening to hearsay, or what some political hack says about his own actions. But we all do that. Maybe the most self-righteous and outspoken ones do it more than most others do. This is the dirty secret of BOTH political sides in the U.S. Everyone thinks and acts based on the Reader's Digest version (so to speak) of the world situation.

You can't belive anyone. You listen to both sides of the argument and make up your own ideas based on your beleif systems values experiences and the like. It's ok to direct your anger to the person you don't like, but not just cause everyone else is doing it or not doing it. If everyone made up their own minds, everything would be much better.

When you learn to listen your true self, your higher consciousness, which is one with Divine universal wisdom, you learn the world does what the world wants and the only power lies within. By quieting your life and your mind the voice of high consciousness becomes loud and clear. It guides you perfectly through all life areas.

There is only ONE source of absolute truth. Jesus said:
Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. John 14:6
Whatever truth someone tells us, it can not contradict the Bible but many do not understand what the Bible says. There is a reason for this. One has be belong to the author to understand it. 1 Corinthians 2:14 "But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned"
You can make sure you belong to HIM (check the first link) and for an easy to understand way to understand the Bible, check the second link below.

become more informed about the world around you, gain knowledge and understanding from sources you feel confident trusting DO NOT take any one persons advice get many different points of view and ask what do the people have to gain when they present their opinions.
Ever wonder who "The Media" is google: Rupert Murdoch
he makes no secret about his political views
his media outlets reach 3/4 of the population
Fox News fires reporters who don't push his views
"Fair and Balanced"
search for your self

Don't be so hard on yourself. We cannot know everything. The only real shame is in not attempting to know all you can. There are a lot of opinions here... many of them valid and I don't necessarily agree with a lot of them. I just accept them as valid. My advice: take what you can use to build knowledge and understanding and throw the rest away... let all your opinions be subject to greater understanding until you have experience to build on... well, maybe even after you have experience to build on.
