Alright, so I retitled this thread, as I think it would attract more attention.

I am very rarely attracted to guys both physically and mentally but I met a guy I am attracted to both ways. However, he has a high chance of having herpes as his ex had it.

What should I do? My stepdad told me I should stop talking to him altogether as I am attracted to him, but I seriously rarely am attracted to guys both ways. Should I try to just be friends with him or what?

I guess a part of me just hopes he really doesn't have it, as he told me he did not but his ex did, which didn't make sense to me....

Firstly, one in five adults have herpes. Maybe you, and seventy percent of those with it don't know. They are simptom free.

My lover has herpes, I don't supposedly, but I must have really.

I wouldn't turn down a lover, especially one you describe, based on this. Symptoms range from none to hard to withstand. No one knows why. There is a blood test, but Im told it's not reliable. Take it anyway. Of course there are condoms, with which I have no problem, but perhaps you do. In the beginning it's what my lover and I used all the time anyway, until we decided to have kids. You can be inseminated alternatively. Don't give up on the two of you. You just seem so right.

Dear Friend ,
Hello!
Herpes simplex virus (HSV) is a curable disease and can b cured with antiviral drugs. So nothing to worry get him treatment from a qualified doctor and dont leave him as u can find many sex partners in life but not lovers. This disease is self limiting too and goes with the passage of time if not treated with medcines. So dont worry at all.
Yours
Ravi

Be friends but don't be stupid either. If you do have sex use protection and don't have it during a outbreak. Get him tested and try hard to just stay friends.

TELL HIM TO GET TESTED, IT CANNOT BE CURED EVER IT IS A VIRUS IT IS IN YOU FOREVER. IT CAN RUIN YOUR LIFE. MY ADVICE IS GET HIM TESTED THEN SEE THE RESLUTLS YOURSELF. BUT ON THE BRIGHT SIDE AS YOU ARE GAY YOU HAVE VERY LITTLE CHANCE OF PASSING IT ON TO ANYONE I WILL HAVE SEX WITH SO DO WHAT YOU LIKE

Ask him. Everyone deserves a fair hearing. Then decide.

Best regards

Simple tell him to go get tested, then take it from there.
