Mexico wants to make it easier for its citizens who are in the United States illegally to remain in the country. The reason is simple: immigrants send approximately $10 billion a year back to Mexico, its largest source of revenue after oil exports. A significant proportion of this revenue comes from illegal immigrants who will, once in possession of a recognized ID, be less likely to be arrested and deported.
Doesn't that just say it all ?

Thanks, I will write to my representatives and to the Governor.
However, Arnold just vetoed the driver's license bill AGAIN saying we need to wait for REALID requirements, and I think this would be in the same class as that bill, so I am hopeful that if it passes, he will veto it.
The real thing is we have to bite the bullet and vote Republican in our state elections. These are all passing along straight party lines.

When aliens enter a country legally they have a document issued by that country. Identification from their home country is FAIRLY...only valid in their home country.
