The is no perticular prayer for sin. All you need is a intemit relationship with God, and pray to him by having a converstions.

The specific words we pray are less important than our attitude when we pray. 1 John 1:9 says simply that if we confess our sins to God--more specifically, confess to God that we realize we're a sinner and that we desire to turn away from our sin and turn to Him--then He will be faithful and just toward us and will forgive us and will cleanse us from all unrighteousness. Remember the Pharisees of Jesus' day--they had all kinds of prayers, but their hearts were far away from God. Anyone can just pray a prayer but not mean it. That was my life from the time I was 11 until I was 15--until God showed me that I'd better start meaning what I prayed when I asked for forgiveness, because I hadn't really been sorry for my sins.

As far as the Scriptural principles behind the Sinner's Prayer, do a Google search for the "Romans Road" to salvation, outlining from the book of Romans what the Bible says about repentance, forgiveness and salvation.

The sinner ' s prayer isn't in the Bible per se. It just includes the basic elements of salvation, which ARE in the Bible.

We are all sinners and there really is no specific prayer you have to pray. Just be sincere when you ask for forgiveness and talk to God in your own language

You will not find it. There is no sinners prayer in the bible. The sinners prayer was thought up based around several biblical Scriptures. By saying the prayer you are totally excepting everything Jesus has done for you. And all you have to do is believe.

The term Sinner's Prayer is a religious terminology. That term specifically is not in the Bible. However, the term is intended to meet the requirements of scripture that describes how one is saved. That scripture is Romans 10:9-10 " ...if you shall confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus, and shall believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you shall be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation."

The sinner's prayer is not found in the Bible. It came about as a tool to help people who were coming to Christ to recognize who they were as sinners, and to acknowledge what Christ did for them on the cross.

Just like there are many tools that Christians use in their faith, such as devotionals, Bibles, hymnals, retreats, conferences and the like, so also is the sinner's prayer a tool.

Conversion is a lot simpler than many of us make it out to be. Think about the conversation between Paul, Silas and the jailer:

"Then he took them outside and asked, "Sirs, what must I do to be saved?" They answered, "Believe on the Lord Jesus, and you and your family will be saved." Then they spoke the word of the Lord to him and everyone in his home. At that hour of the night he took them and washed their wounds. Then he and his entire family were baptized immediately." (Acts 16:30-33)

The sinner's prayer is a prayer a person prays to God when they understand that they have sinned and have need of Jesus. The sinner's prayer is understanding that we are all sinners, asking forgiveness and accepting Jesus as our Lord and Savior knowing that we of ourselves can't do anything to restitute for our sin.Romans 3:10 ...

Its not in the Bible, and personally I don't think its right to lead someone in a "sinners prayer." Let me explain.

To lead someone in the sinners prayer would be like a man whom his wife found out that he was cheating on him. When he is truely sorry does he go to the card store and buy a card that says he is sorry, or does he have someone reciting to him what he is supposed to say??? Of course not, if he is truly sorry for what he has done, the words should just spill right out of his mouth. So if a person is truly sorry for their sins toward God and actually has a contrite heart, we shouldn't have to give them a formed and spelled out prayer for them to recited, the would should just spill out of their mouths.

Saying the sinner's prayer is simply a way of declaring to God that you are relying on Jesus Christ as your Savior. There are no "magical" words that result in salvation. It is only faith in Jesus' death and resurrection that can save us. If you understand that you are a sinner and in need of salvation through Jesus Christ, here is a sinner's prayer you can pray to God: "God, I know that I am a sinner. I know that I deserve the consequences of my sin. However, I am trusting in Jesus Christ as my Savior. I believe that His death and resurrection provided for my forgiveness. I trust in Jesus and Jesus alone as my personal Lord and Savior. Thank you Lord, for saving me and forgiving me! Amen!"

But if you are looking for the Lord's Prayer you will find it here.

Matthew 6:9-13 or Luke 11:2-4

Our Father, which art in heaven,
Hallowed be thy Name.
Thy kingdom come.
Thy will be done,
in earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our trespasses,
As we forgive them that trespass against us.
And lead us not into temptation;
But deliver us from evil:
[For thine is the kingdom, The power, and the glory,
For ever and ever.] Amen.
