Go ahead and have sex with your partner. I had sex just 4 weeks after my c-section, and had no problems. It's safe, go ahead. You've waited long enough. The 6-8 week recovery is just guidelines, it's different for everyone..everyone heals at a different rate. If you are horny and want to make love with your partner, then obviosly you have the energy and the drive to be making love, so go ahead and do it, girl! :-)

You should definitly wait I had four children and a c sction as well and I thought after four weeks I was ok so I started working out and the bleeding and pain began the doctor explained that when a tubal is done there is internal wounds for a minimum of 6 weeks so be very careful with yourself sorry girl but you really ought to wait.

Waiting 6 weeks has nothing to do with getting pregnant again. Your body is still trying to heal a serious wound and the vagina is not a sterile environment and having sex can introduce all kinds of bacteria and other nasties into your uterus causing some serious infections. There are other ways to be intimate without intercourse. Try that until the Dr says it's ok. We don't tell people to wait for the fun of it. And this being your 3rd child is should have been explained to you 2 other times.

You could run the risk of an intrauterine infection, a surgical wound reopening (could result in another infection and tissue tearing harder to repair than a straight surgical cut), discomfort (pain), abdominal muscle tearing and bleeding (hemorrhaging)....
While none of these things will definitely happen they are all possibilities your body needs time to recover after major surgery... both c-section and tubal litigation are major surgery....
While I can understand being horny and wanting sex there is a time when you have to bite the bullet and wait for your safety... Should any of the above occur you will be out of commission for more than 6 weeks and there is a possibility of death should you hemorrhage badly...
The thought of death cools the horny fire doesn't it?

should be okay as long as no rough sex or any extraneous pressure and movement. Good going on the ligation! You won't be bored in Topeka anymore. But it does get cold there.

It is best to wait until you see your doctor. I ended up with an infection in my c-section incision after my son was born.

You can tear the stiches inside you and bleed to death, I am not joking about this, this is what the docs told me.
