Terrform gave you the definition. I DO NOT believe in a higher power but I do still believe. I believe in everything that I can feel and touch. To me it isn't even a matter of science. I don't mean to knock on religions nor their gods ... but for some reason they take offense when I claim 'Atheist'. I believe in a lot of things, but things that are real like my mother & father gave me life so they'll be bigger than anything in this world. I believe all 4 of my bros love me and they'll be there for me, I believe what goes around comes around and i believe if you get hit by a car and pass it is because your timing was bad and you should've either waited or looked around before stepping off the curb.

Atheism was the start of a revolution of different thinking. Someone had to think of it sooner or later, because yes, the bible and everything else that depicts we have a god kind of contridicts its self. Atheism is just a belief and should be kept itself as that. Believing there is a god, is just that, a belief. No body is sure of anything, no body is sure if there is a god or not and as most believers, they are stubborn and believe their truth is the truth of the world. Everybody has their own truth, thats how the world should be looked at.

How is it a made up word? Isn't "religion" a made up word? Or "prayer"? Or "Holy," "belief," or "god?"
What word wasn't "made up?"
How am I separate? If you are Christian, are you not "separate" from Jews, Muslims and Hindus?
You are correct in one thing in that we don't believe in god.
Everything after that in your post is a mess. I am assuming that it was made by someone that either doesn't speak English and is trying or is translated electronically.

If there were no theists, there would be no atheists.
The prefix "a" means without. "Theism" means belief in a Supreme Being or God(s).
Atheism is not a belief that needs to be proven, it is a word that describes people who are waiting for theists to prove their claims with credible evidence.

Um...we didn't name ourselves? Is that what you are looking for?
Personally I wish we never had to have a label, non belief is kind of the default before religion is taught to a person, so why do WE have to be called anything. I just want to be considered human, end of story.

They say they don't believe in anything, but we all believe in something, it is part of the human experience...To not believe in anything is to not be human.
