For those of you who observe Samhain, what day do you observe?
I use the actual cross quarter day and was curious what others do.

My boyfriend and I are celebrating on the 31st. This will be my first year observing Samhain. I'm excited to be observing with him.

As it is a end of the harvest festival for some and the beginning of the new year for others.
It is celebrated after the first full moon after the first killing frost.
depending on the sect of Paganism/ Wicca or witchcraft you follow.and the weather in your part of the world. We have Indian Summer before the start of the Winter season.about two weeks of the return of the last of warmth to finish outside activities.
It is not a fixed day except for Christians.

Usually oct 31st. Predictable I know, but on the occasions I can't, I will do something on nov 1st instead, as some go from midnight oct 31st to midnight nov 1st. My friend who is Celtic Wiccan, always observes the 31st as it is celtic new year on that day. I'm not wholly fussed if I miss it by a few days, but I always feel the energy stronger, nearer the time.

VERY FEW people have any idea of the real goings on during the SAMHAIN period.

I spent many hours with "Trish" of Bob Larson fame.............WOW... I will never smile on THAT DAY again!

I personally like to see what's going on in my area as far as gatherings and try to make my way there to join the celebration.
