*sigh* I've always wanted straight hair!! Mine is curly, but my daughters' is staight...like yours never holds a curl. The only thing I've found is old fasioned, but works. Wash your hair before bed, and put in those soft, spongy curlers..just let them dry over night. Only problem, is sometimes the curls come out a bit TOO well, and are difficult to shape. Hope this helps!

You have my deepest sympathy. I though I was the only person in the world that that happened to. Whew!!hehe. But really my hair is the same way. It is fine and when you curl it it looks awesome for like the first 15 in then it slowly starts unrolling, happens every time for me. For me I finally got a spiral perm that looks really natural. If you want it straight all you have to do is run a flat iron through it. That is what I do and it only takes like 10 min. It also only takes me about 5 min to fix it when it is curly rather then with naturally straight hair that you have to brush all the time and even then it only sees the pony tail anyhow. I think it also has allot to do with the length of your hair. Mine is below my shoulders and it keeps the curl perfectly. The longer your hair the tighter you are gonna need to get the perm. Hope this helps.

the following is a step through step academic that can help your hair stay curled: (my approach- there are different concepts) complete time: quarter-hour resources: curling iron bobbypins hairspray preserving gel a million) initiate with "2d day hair", hair that has organic oils in it holds curl more beneficial positive that freshly washed hair. note a gel/ curl preserving spray. make confident you dont use too a lot product because you dont opt to weight your hair down. 2) Seperate your hair into various horizonal sections. initiate with the bottom section. 3) Use a a million-2 inch curling iron with a smallish a million inch portion of hair. turn the curling iron the incorrect way up and wrap your hair round it- be careful of your hands. depart that held in there for roughly 20 seconds. 4) enable the curl fall and roll it back up round your finger and then use bobby pins to pin it on your scalp. it would appear as if it really is in a roller- yet without the roller. 5) attempt this to all you hair and enable it sit down for therefore long as plausible ( do your makeup......) 6) Hairspray your total head and then take down the curls beginning from the bottom operating up. 7) once all of your hair is out of the curls then hairspray back .in case you needed messier curls you should note some more beneficial gel on your palms and scrunch up the curls. be confident you stay remote from rain, wind, humidity and different moist stuff. desire this enables! strong success!

That's easy.....Forget the curling iron honey, and at night when you take a shower, put your hair up in rollers....Make sure your hair is wet.......If you're hair is dry, it won't hold the curl like you want.....
I do that and the curls will stay in my hair well into the next day even. In fact, if I didn't shower the next day, I'm sure they would "still" be in. And my hair is down to the small of my back.
I'm pretty sure when I glanced at all your other answers, no one had suggested this. Give it a try I guarantee it'll work.
Oh, and be sure to get the sponge curlers so you can sleep in them comfortably....
Let me know if it works.
Good luck ! ! !

buy a set [or two.. depending how thin you want your curls to be] of those bendable curler thingies.
put them on at night after your bath [it might be better to do this when your hair's already dry, though].
sleep with them on.
take them off in the morning.
gouge your hair a bit to make sure the curls are in place.
apply hair spray [a brand that has no CFCs, thank you very much].
then you're ready to go! mine stayed intact the whole day :]
god bless

Put a perm in it. That is the only way. You've just described my hair and that is the only way I have been able to keep any curl in my hair.

my 3year old daugther has beautiful curls, this is what i do when i want to show her curls off. After shower or bath, pat dry your hair lightly scrunching the ends, leave your hair just dampend and add conditioner to you hair, put it in evenly try not to pull down on your hair and shake the hair so that it doesnt stick together, add more to the bottoms as the ends dry out faster, just enough you should know.dont brush your hair, use your fingers! hope this helps
ps better for you hair,

Don't wash your hair for a week, put in gel everyday, and wait for it to get coarse and thick. Then put in those rollers. To make sure your hair doesn't smell gross...add a hairspray on top.
