What's the point of staring at someone? I mean, you go out to have fun with your friends but weirdos from your past (exs, people you used to hang out with, gfs and ex gfs of exes, etc.) and even perfect strangers stare at you?? Uncomfortable!!

But when I go out, I want to have fun with my friends, not staring at others and worrying what they're doing... So whats the point?

FYI: I wouldn't say that I'm stuck up...more indifferent and unobservant to the world around me. I'm working on me right now and therefore am not looking around, know what I mean?

ALSO - I don't notice the stares until someone says something like, "Why do those people keep staring?" in which case I look and therefore notice.

This has never really happened to you????

Guys stare because it means they have noticed you and find something about you attractive. Usually it takes a guy a while to build up his nerve to approach a pretty lady, so sometimes the stare is just him trying to nerve up. Then again he may hope that you will see him staring at you and then become aware of him, maybe, flash a smile or a wink, give him a hint that if he were to walk over to you, you would not shoot him down in flames. So that is the deal with the stare-down... too many movies where some kind of look makes a women melt.. So we try it.

when people try to meet someone they meet them with the eyes first. You sound like a stuck up person. Maybe the strangers find you attractive and may want to meet you but you won't give people a chance. You think everyone is a weirdo that looks at you. I hope you have a nice life alone. and for the past people you ever think they may see you and miss the time they had with you. you don't need friends you need a Dr to take care of your paranoia.

Starring shows that your interested in someone or it means that they remember you from some were or something so the person starring they hope that the person will stare back and aknowledge them and then maybe they will be able to start a conversation.

Maybe you seem difficult to approach. They might have something on their mind, and be getting a look from you that makes it hard to bring up.

Forget what other people are doing. They have eyes, and they can do what they wish with them. Maybe you're uncommonly attractive or something! Good night!

Edit: Good one, baughwawn. I couldn't have said it better.
