This doesn't happen often so ENJOY!!
By the way, please ignore the first answer, drink as much tequila as you like but your best bet is to behave and end the evening at home with the "dick" that is watching the kids...
I hope you have a great time, and please be safe.

I have two kids and going out has never been an issue. I used to be very active in community theatre and I also had a weekly girls night out. My husband always stayed with the kids so I could do my thing. Just like I'm here when he has things he wants to do. But we're military and this last year just about everyone I hung out with moved. Now I coach cheerleading and my husband is here when I have to be at practice and games.

It amazes me that there are moms who never get to go out or that when they do it is a rare occasion.

What's a night out with no kids?? Is there such a thing? haha. I'm really lucky my husband will watch the kids anytime I ask him too. Good for you! I actually just had a friend offer to take the kids some night for me, so I can go out with my hubby. We get a "free night out" for Christmas every year from my sister in law. With a gift certificate to go out to eat, and movie tickets. It's the BEST gift, I love it. Now, she's pregnant, so guess what she''l be getting this Christmas!! Have fun!

My sister-in-law and I go out every couple of months and leave the kids with the hubbys..... Our last outting was in August we went to see the Chippendale Dancers... Both our hubby made sure we had loads of dollars for g-string stuffing and told us to have a great time...

Our next outting is going to be in November we are planning an all day shop til you drop day at the mall so we will both have Christmas shopping finished early...

When we go out it gives our hubbys a chance to have some brother time while they keep the kids.... Between the two of them they can figure out how to cook (order pizza) and take care of 6 children with a minimal of major structural damage and the kids are always alive when we get home...

I'm 33 and I usually have these 'girls nights'.Before my husband watched the children(7 kids!),and now when we are divorced, one of my best friends and his wife(they have 2 daughters, which love when play with my children) look after them for the night;)

My husband has been working almost every weekend this month so tomorrow he is taking our 2 year-old son out for the day and I am going out to lunch with some friends. My son was a preemie and almost died at birth so I don't leave him very often.

Well, at least once a month. But usually, we just get the in-laws or my parents to watch our daughter, and we go out together.

I think it's great for a mom to have a life outside the kids. At least once a month would be great. I have at least 2-4 times a month.

Never, and my son is 15. My theory is I can be selfish and spend time away from my family once he is out on his own. For us, time is tight, so ANY time together is precious! But, we are different than most and love to spend all of our time together. Besides, I have more fun with my husband than with any friends, so I couldn't leave him behind if I were going out!
