I rearranged the furniture and moved my tv/dvd-video player across the room. I disconnected and re-conncected the cable. Now, when I tried to use the player, all I get is snowy picture. I connected my sis's video player to my cable and it works fine. Any reasons why my dvd/video player isn't working?

You did not metion whether you get the on- screen menu when you plug in your DVD player and power it up. If you get nothing, you must have it connected wrong. Check all connections, settins, ect. Does it read the disc? if so , gotta be connections.
Try composite output. video out, S-video outputs. If you do get a pix but it is checkerboard or pastel (skipping, with a disc in) you probably have problem with the player.

Check to see which input is engaged on the tv first, for example if you are using the av cords(red, white, yellow)youll have to hit input button on tv.If your using the cable,be sure to check the cable is connected properly and the tv is on channel 3
