About every month or so, my TV has turned off my itself, then about 1 second later, it turns back on by itself. After that, the image on the TV is simi-fuzzy.. and it's just messed up, but I can hear it perfectly. I'm not sure how old the TV is (it is pretty old, though.), but it's a "LXI series sterio monitor" (that's what it says on the TV ) ANY idea what this means??

It sounds like your tv has a "cold solder". This is an electronic component that has been soldered to a printed circuit. The solder has cycled from hot to cold so many times that a minute crack has developed and this sometimes causes a malfunction within that circuit causing problems with the unit as a whole.
A reputable repair person could fix it but you probably would have a better shot at landing on the moon than finding one of those.

LXI is a Sears brand name. The set is probably about 10+ years old, but can't tell you for sure without the model#. Make sure the
power cord is plugged into a good outlet. Sometimes if the plug is loose or is plugged into a poor extention cord, the power may
quit for a moment, causing the set to momentarly shut off, then turn back on. Many sets will automatically turn back on when the poweris briefly interrupted. However, the internal demagnetizer
circuit gets confused and causes color splotches on the screen.
Set needs to stay off about 10 min. to clear this up. Check your
power cords & outlet.

appears like a Tube television and a selection of of of the weapons have crapped out. Spend a pair of dollars and get an HD television. in case you're money wakeful, in simple terms get a 1080i version, meaning interlaced (ordinary lines first get drawn, then the even lines) as adversarial to a 1080p meaning innovative and attracts all lines on an identical time. it rather is seen finished HD.
