I think if its not total, we'll end up like Vietnam and Korea...hamstrung and hung out to dry. The great patriotic war in 45 was total and the enemy submitted unconditionally... hmmmm, which is better....total destruction and victory or partially committed with less lives lost but no total victory..??

Don't u think the amount of soldiers and civilians killed is enough.
No war unless really justified ie. for defence alone, and nothing else.
The families who lost loved ones kids will feel the void for ther rest of their lives. The same goes for the innocent family who does not understand what all this is about and could not hurt you in anyway living thousands of miles away going about their lives as best they can, they are not sympethisers to any extremist, haters of americans, or even bush. But now this has started it is amplifying the problem, and could you blame a teenager who takes a gun and shouts at an american soldier, or even tries to join stupid al kaeda and tries to find a way of killing most americans in one go, out of revenge for the loss of a brother or a father...etc, after all he became desperate and he sees that his life has ended.

If you are going to get in a fight do you fight to kick his @ss or just fight to keep on fighting and see how long you can drag it out? Maybe just fight to show off your new moves? Or is it fighting is to prove you are bigger?

I don't like to fights I plan to get in there win it and get out. Like with Iraq, I could care less if Iraq rebuilds their cities or picks a government or one just takes over. It would take them 50 years to rebuild after we did what we did to them. Same for what Israel did to Lebanon. I don't see Israel going in and rebuilding Lebanon? Do you. That is how it should be done. Kick their @ss and let them fend for them selfs. That would let the world know not to be playing games because we are not playing.

Sorry, I'm on your side total war or don't get involved. I get carried away when it comes to the way we fight wars.

With war comes death and dismay.
We can sit back and let them kick our *** while we try to talk our way out of it and/or around it, or possibly die defending what's ours.
At least it's ours now, but that's another story.
It'll come to total war eventually.

I think the Constitution needs an amendment for "No war without declaration."

I don't think that when it was written the framers even thought there could be an undeclared war.

It is total war. Just be patient and give it a chance. You'll have all death and destruction your heart desires soon enough.
