Caleb was 3 and presented with meningitis and encephillitis, had a arrest and ended up on life support. doctors said if he lived it looked very grim as to his quality of life. 1. We had an ongoing relationship with God and Jesus, before this happened. 2. We believed in healing power. 3.We knew this was going to be a battle so we prepared for battle and put on the full armor of God, we prayed, studied scripture, and fasted. 4. We gave God thanks for the small things as well as the big. 5. We read scripture over Caleb (especially healing). 6. We ask anyone who was a believer to pray and agree with us. 7. We listened to doctors but believed God has the last say in anything. 8. We listened to what God said to us...yes he speaks to His people. 9. We praised god and thankse Him when the healing came and have not stopped thanking HIM. We love God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit. My God will supply all my needs according to His riches in glory. AMEN

Praise God!! That is wonderful news about caleb.......God is a wonderful God and I know because He has always supplied my needs as well.

God also saved my own niece who was born with a heart condition called tetrology of fallow.......she had a hole in her heart, excess muscle tissue around it along with a pulminary or main artery that was to small. Her first operation came at the age of a few weeks old when they put in a shunt....during that operation her lungs started to bleed, but my sister and her husband got on thier knees and prayed, passed on the prayer request to us and to anyone who was willing to pray for Abby.....when the prayers started the bleeding in her lungs ceased and the operation went on without anymore problems. then at nearly 4 months old Abby had major open heart surgery to repair all the problems with her heart.......the prayer chain started up once again and we had so many people praying for her......like you said God does the cries of his people and He once again got abby through surgery and brought her home to us 6 days later! She is a beautiful, healthy little 4 year old toddler now and is doing wonderfully. Sure she will have to keep going back for her check ups on her heart, but God brought her through and I know will continue to be with her and us through anything that we may come up against.

Praise God for his rich blessings and for hearing the cries of his children! I thank Him everyday for my littlest biggest miracle and blessing my abby grace.

I am very happy to hear about Caleb's recovery, I wish your family the best and hope you don't have to go through something like that again. On to your question of how, which you seemingly answered yourself, I must respectfully disagree. I had an uncle who served in the military and was a devout Christian and he met my aunt in the military and they returned home and got married. He suffered post-traumatic stress and basically lost his mind. He killed my aunt, went to prison, had a stroke and spent 15 years as a vegetable until just recently dying. Now I think it was just a natural part of life, but I'll try use your logic to figure out why this happened. Um...................God is a dick??? I don't know what other conclusion there is?? You see it's no different than sports stars winning the big game and saying "Thank God for giving us the strength." Why don't you hear people saying "Well we would have one but God made me trip and fall on the 10 yard line, that jerk." I understand it's easy to think God intervened in situations where the outcome was good, but to believe that an all-powerful, universe-spanning entity would interfere with our day-to-day lives to that extent is, in my opinion, foolish. I'm glad to hear everything worked out for you guys, but I'm afraid it wasn't God, it was just life.

That's fantastic, but I am truly worried that you think God granted you this miracle. It isn't realistic.... If you feel now that God granted you this because you asked, how are you going to feel when something tragic happens and you do the same things, but he chooses not to save someone? How can you avoid resentment if you feel that by doing certain things you can be granted special privileges? I believe this life is a test, and I am not sure at all that God intervenes here. If he did, it wouldn't be a real test anymore.

I am very happy that he has been healed. The story put a smile on my face today that was much needed.

I glad that Caleb ha srecovered but placing your belief in a non existent being is taking away from Caleb the strength and determination he had to live. He was responsible for his own survival.

To God be the glory. We had a little girl in our church who was healed of encephalitis just this summer.
Praise the Lord!
