You lose nothing even if He doesn't exist.
While you gain greatly, because this sincere love causes you to love mankind (while other doubtful people are bitterly hating, suspecting, ingoring each other). You have the perfect witness for your beautiful heart, you have more friends, you have more reasons to make efforts in the service of your neighbours, you have greater joy of being significantly busy...
Why don't you love the One True God, Who is worshipped by great saints, great thinkers, great educators... throughout history?

A Christian Epitaph

What I kept, I lost.
What I spent, I used.
What I gave, I have.

If a person loves God with their entire heart, mind, and body, they would accept His Saviour. That being the Lord Jesus Christ. The Holy Spirit would then come to comfort them and lead them to His Holy Word which is Jesus Christ's Name. The Word of God.
Being a Christian means you loose nothing but gain everything sharing together with Jesus Christ as co-heir. Its wonderful loving God and having Salvation.><>

If I had even the FAINTEST belief in the existance of a God, I'm sure love for it would come easy. Don't though. Not a bit.

What would I lose if I loved him DESPITE the fact that I don't believe he exists? Self respect as a thinking, reasoning being.

Heard it all before. I would lose my freedom in order to obey a set of rules given to us by a non existent god. I will not waste my life worshipping a myth.

Well if you just love God ...okay...but you generally will accept the Bible as truth and join a church. Believing the Bible restricts your common sense because now you are wondering what it has to say on anything. Churches have dogma...and they WILL let you know what you're supposed to think about things.

Why, it's easy! Because the Flying Spaghetti Monster IS the one true god, I have no problems. I'm happy with my religion, so be happy with yours and whoever is a part of yours.

Haven't seen Pascal's wager in a while. It's good to see that theists continue to use it...
