The real answer to why dogs lick peoples feet is because the fact when you sweat, you sweat out some salt. And animals like the salt and taste.

Dogs love to lick feet, just to get the salt from your sweat, this is also another reason why they steal socks, and underwear.

Not trying to sound gross....but they taste good due to the fact that your feet sweat alot and they have a distinct smell. You might also notice he likes dirty socks too

i know what you mean, my dog licks my legs all of the time, but i think it's because i use lotions that smell really good!

My vet told me that its the salty taste they like and also this could be behavioral problem according to what the vet said. as long as it doesnt bother you i would just let the doggie do what he/she wants to do.
