The exact hour depends on WHERE you are in the world. "The crack of dawn" really doesn't refer to the sun as much as it refers to morning..."The crack of dawn is very early morning"...pre sunlight.

Well, tomorrow on the West Coast, sunrise is at 7:05am. But it may be different where you live. Find a weather website, put in your town, and it will have the info. Set your alarm for an hour before!

It changes every day and from place to place. The "crack of dawn" is an elusive thing (unless, of course, you listen to your local weather on television).
