Okay, this question is for all Christians. Can you pray for our outreach tomorrow? We're doing a memorial service for Gloria who was gunned down by her husband. (Her baby boy was shot and DSS has her precious girls 4 & 7.)
I know that the Lord can save many souls through this tragic event. He can turn sorrow into joy!!!
Can you pray for us tonight and as we go out tomorrow to witness to this impoverished neighborhood?
The memorial service starts at 4pm. I'm asking for a 24 hour prayer chain and for folks to pass this along to other Believers.
I will update with additional details in this question tomorrow so you'll get to know how things went...so check back please!!!
Thakn you in advance, your prayers are appreciated fellow Believers.
God Bless You!!!

The outreach will be in the neighborhood. We'll have the service outside.
We hope to bring many to Christ in this dark hour through the good news.
(Please remember Emily, Bianca and Baby Joe Jr. in your prayers as well, they've lost a very caring mommy)
This impoverished community has been touched by this tragedy. I saw sullen people who had only previously been interested in themselves reach out to help a family hurting.
Hearts have been softened and we pray that ears are ready to hear the beautiful and comforting message of salvation.

praying right now!

farien3,
when some of these tragedies happen, people begin thinking about death and their own fate ..knowing that everyone has a date to die, this is a good time to offer support to those who need comfort and witness to those who need answers to their own questions concerning death. you would be amazed to find out how many people actually get saved during a funeral.

It sounds wonderful! But how exactly will the Lord save many souls through this tragic event? What do you mean by that?

And what precisely should we be praying for?

Yes! I will pray for illumination on the people, peace on the family, and the presence of God to manifest in this situation! There will be an open Heaven there! God Bless!

Lord,
We ask that you take this tragedy and somehow use it for your glory. We ask that you will speak to unsaved people tomorrow through your Holy Spirit during the service for the woman who was killed. We ask that many would enter your kingdom through this tragedy. And we ask that the boy who was shot would recover completely, and that you would bring someone into his life to care for him and raise him. In the name of Jesus we ask these things, amen.
