It seems to me every time a Christian fights back with the WORD OF GOD he gets a thumbs down rating most of the time.

That what they want is to leave God out of the picture. That is Satans goal of course and it would probably work if my faith was weak but its not. What I mean about fighting back, is about Satans followers and if your one of them then your the enemy at the doors.I will stand for God no matter what. But enough of casting pearl before swine.

When a person misquotes or misrepresents the contents of a holy book they deserve a thumbs down.

Most Christians who are "fighting back" often know almost nothing about the Bible. Nothing annoys me more than when people say the Bible says something it doesn't say. Most often people assume that because a preacher says it from the pulpit, it is in the Bible. Very often that is an incorrect assumption.

Although a short bible quote is often helpful, most people probably want to know what you think in your own words. The bible contains very valuable principles for life. That fact gets overlooked when verses are just spewed out "vomitoriously" (as one poster so eloquently put it). A little less quote, and a little more of the real you, might go a long way. After all, you're made in the image of God, and if his word is in you, it will come out as you talk/write. Just a thought.

Hoping the best for you...

this is because you are not useing any of your own ideas or morals. it is just cut and paste form an e-books bible. itis usually not even an answer that you have thought about because the e-bibles you can just type in a keyword and it will give you all of the passages about it.

use the bible to back up your words. and not as your entire arguement. and then you will gain some respect.

i always hear the gods word is wiser than man's.

the fact is people are not asking God's opinion over Yahoo Answers. we are asking people. and if i wanted to read the bible i can just as easily pick up one of the many bibles that i own and read it. you get the thumbs down because YOU are not answering a question when you reply with a 2 page exerpt from the bible and a few words at the bottom of it claiming it as your answer.

Write your answer. and back it up with the bible but we do not need the eintire chapter. just your answer and then if you need to give a bible refrence just say Jhon 3:16. we do not need the entire psalms written out. we want the HUMAN answer.

if i ask why do you follow God and Jesus. and you respond because the bible says that it is true. you have not given me any reason. no experiences, not even a viable answer. some people say that Dianettics is true, and then the Scientologists pop up.

i am all for backing up whay YOU say with the bible. but do not let the bible dictate what you say.

Hmm, I hadn't noticed that, but I will keep my eyes open. I try to give positive ratings 85% or more of the time, or stay neutral on the others.

85% of Americans are Christians. What exactly are you fighting back against? The 15% of us who dare to express OUR feelings?!

Why can't a Christian answer a question with a thought of his own? or do they not have those?

Perhaps the "thumbers" are trying to tell the Christians that the world does not belong to them and that others have an opinion too.

Fight back? So you must think it's a fight. It's not.

If you can't think for yourself... you're a fool, whether or not God is.
