This is a matter of personal preference anddepends on how you define "best field": What are your criteria - pay, family life, technology, practical job
The most popular residencies include dermatology, radiology, plastic and orthopeadics
While family medicine might not appear that popular, in statisical terms, this is very misleading, in that far more medical students enter this field than other residency. Yet due to the high number of places available each year, this fact goes unnoticed and everybody seems to underate family medicine as being a very good field to get into
I personally like the idea of neurosurgery but I havent been exposed to this field yet and I know neuro is extremely demanding in many respects and not for the fainthearted

Your motivation to be a well-being care provider should not be funds. bear in strategies that even nevertheless the salary would look staggering to you presently, once you graduate you may have huge pupil loans to pay lower back and malpractice coverage. There are different professions that are lots extra profitable than drugs. for the time of your practise (residency) you will would desire to artwork nights and weekends. The minimum residencies are 3 yrs. this implies it sluggish table is made for you for 3 yrs and you artwork once you're advised to artwork. Physicians often artwork in communities and take turns protecting nights, weekends and holiday journeys. while you're searching for an consumer-friendly way out, drugs isn't a thank you to bypass.

Family medicine, with a speciality in birthing.
Or family medicine, with a speciality in pediatrics.
Or family medicine, with a speciality in geriatrics.
Become a Bush doctor in the Far North, or Patagonia, or Namibia. You'll never be bored. And if you are a responsible doc, you'll go to heaven, I'm sure.

The one that you find the most fascinating and that fits with your lifestyle.
Do you want to raise a family?
Do you like to be awakened at night?
Do you like to work alone or does interaction with others energize you?
Is the money you make of primary importance?
Do you like children?
.....and a dozen other questions and concerns go into the "right" answer to this question.
As you go through medical school you will be exposed to most of the specialties, and one or more will fascinate you, and at that point you can decide on your specialty.

Well i ask which field interests you.
i am going for neurosurgery after graduating from med school.
what you should choose is where you have the most strength: immunology, cardiology, etc when you go through med school.
And what you like and fit your life style of course.
