well you have sorta gotten like on a babies schedule. Ive done this alot wake up same time every night to use the restroom.lol now when you wake up your mind wanders and you maybe think about problems or things you need to get finished. when it happens try to go right back to bed in a hurry if u get up and think of something or somewhere peaceful and try to clear your mind. best of luck to you.

If you are actually going to sleep at 4 P.M. this may have some impact as to why you wake at 3. I would suggest trying to stay up and not nap or sleep until 9 p.m. and see if you can get back on a regular sleep schedule. If you do still wake too early do not stay in bed, get up and start being active, and try again with the later bed time with no napping. If it still persists see a doctor.

My pattern like that is due to my blood sugar going low, just before 3 am. I combat it by getting up - going to the bathroom - and if not able to get to sleep within (average normal) 7 minutes, get up and get myself a snack of soy nuts, almonds and sunflower seeds (a handful or two) and a glass of water or, better yet, soy milk.
If I have eaten a protein based balanced snack before going to bed, I usually either don't wake up at 3 am, or can go right back to sleep after urinating.
Feel free to e-mail me if you have questions about blood sugar imbalances.

It could be several things. Anything from as complex as depression or insomnia or to as simple as caffiene 5 hours before bedtime, or an uncomfortable bed. You can get professional help for this too. Asking your doctor about sleeping pills could be a help. Not for a daily thing, but as needed.

It may be a sign or sleep problems , I have insomnia set up an appointment to talk to your doctor. if you also have problems falling asleep initially it is probobly insomnia if not it is just beacouse once your body has woken up it is hard to tell it that it should be sleeping.
you may have depression, or if there have been any changes in your life since this time (child, boyfriend, friend, or any change really) that could be affecting your sleep.
If your mind wanders it jusy simply means you are stressed and neef to relaz. listening to music helps me relax and fall asleep easier!!

Sound much the same procedure as I follow.. get my 4 hours of sleep and then take a nap in the afternoon.. You forgot to mention your age.. could be the deciding factor. It sure is in my case.

It could be several problems, it could be obstructive sleep apnea, insomnia, stress or some other things. Talk to your dr. they have sleep labs where they can monitor the type and depth of your sleeping.
