I was shocked to find that most people chose to let the single uneducated meth addicted mother of 2 die, because she had nothing to contribute to society.
How dare you! Twenty three years ago I was that mother. And look at me now. Please, read my response to his question, and see what an uneducated mother who is a former addict had to say.
You all need to take a look inside yourselves. And those of you who chose the baby......words can't begin to describe how despicable that choice was. You should be ashamed.

Stephanie...I chose to sacrifice myself to save every other person.
This is to show that NO ONE has the right to play GOD.

Farien, I was the second person to answer that question and I chose to sacrifice myself. I just can't understand how anyone could actually point to another person and declare "Let that one die!"

I DID NOT ask the original question. I simply answered it. I find it apalling that any of you could choose to let another die. It says a lot about your mindset and what's wrong with this world. And I cannot get over you choosing the baby. That is just despicable in the extreme. You all need your heads examined.

Kudos to you. Your point is well made. Who are we to know a persons worth by just one or two isolated facts about their lives?
My personal embarrassment would be the Christians who chose any of them. Who are we to know what any of them are worth in the eyes of God?
I understand you are an Athiest, but your answer to that question was one of the most 'Christian' I read.

The point of the question was not "would you take the opportunity", but that you don't have a choice. One of these people will die and you have to pick one. Period. Sacrificing yourself was not an option. Not picking one was not an option. The asker wants to know, in the hypothetical situation that you MUST pick one of these people, which one would you pick.
Why the hell can't people answer the god damned question? I chose the baby as that is the life with the least likelihood of being fulfilling and enjoyable. You have to pick one, why did you pick the one you did? That is the point!!!! No one said it would be pretty or that there is a "right" answer.

well to sacrifice oneself is a nobile thing to do. however, i too have family to look after.
i chose the cheating husband. simply because he was the only one that was doing wrong and knew it and had no chance of changing..
the 2 kids needed their mother. and addiction can be cured.
the baby may never develop Aids and live a normal life with HIV
the kid that burnt the house just made a misteak.
and the middle aged man may not develop the cancer.
this leaves the cheating husband. sorry, but i am somewhat selfish on whom i will sacrifice my life for. i cannot leave my family to fend for themselves to save the life of a willing adulteer.
i would however give my life to save the mother of 2 children, or any of the other children. my family could understand this sacrifice. and i could enter the afterlife knowing that i did the right thing.

I think I would've answered in the exact same way you did. And yes, it IS shocking to see so many answerers nonchalantly point death in the direction of any of those people. Let me repeat... those PEOPLE. They are all human beings... who are we to say "this human being deserves to die for their faults and/or disadvantages"??
That baby thing really made me choke up. My baby was born at 30 weeks... that's 10 whole weeks early. They so easily treated all the other cases as expendible... I'm sure a few would've swung the axe at my son's situation. I would die 1,000 times before I let ANYTHING happen to him.

I can't commend you enough for your answer and your life. You are truly an asset to society. But as far as the baby is concerned, that happens all the time in abortion clinics and even in regular hospitals where Doctors just deem a baby not worthy to live and stick it in a corner and starve it to death. That is just a by-product of our new secular humanist culture of death. We had a great culture in this country. It was the christian culture. It is what made this country great. We gave that up in the 60's.........the so-called sexual revolution. Now the chickens are coming home to roost. Now we have the culture of death along with crime, illiteracy, broken homes, children born out of wedlock, single parent women who can't make enough to survive, latch-key kids, sexual immorality and much more. We made our own bed. Now we must sleep in it. It was our own choice.

I read the responces and you have to admit that most of them were right on as was yours. I myself thought is was not a question that should be answered cuz it is just gonna cause more questions like it and therefor give the weak and thoughtless another chnce to sin.
If they added Bush to the list I woulda had an answer.
your point well taken
I think the character you chose for your avatar is cool but why a picture with his finger in his nose??

Hi Spooky,
I agree with you.
"Judge not, lest you be judged."
I couldn't make the choice for someone else to die either.
I had to make the choice for my son to die and that only because I knew he didn't stand a chance of living outside the womb after only 24 weeks and no oxygen for about 8 hours.
I pray I never have to make a choice like that again.
Glad to hear you were able to get out of the trap of drugs and stay out.
YOU GO GIRL!!!

Spooky....in answer to "the GODHATEST"......no one has the right to decide but "OUR MAKER"......I do applaude you for how far you have come. And as I said, everyone has a purpose on this earth and everyone's life is precious! We were all put on this great earth for a reason. You should be very proud of yourself for all of the accomplishments you have made in your life. You are also right...everyone needs to take a look inside themselves before they judge the other. And again....how dare "GODHATEST" even consider posting such a HEARTLESS AND HIDEOUS question. There is something seriously wrong with this individual...I only hope that he/she will seek help!

NOT shocking at all!
People have been taught SITUATION ETHICS for quite some time in the schools in USA and Canada.
The valuable to Science etc.------------ get to live.
As Adolf Hitler put it " Unproductive eaters are valueless."" Let them die.
That is EXACTLY what Situation Ethics teach.
We tossed the Bible and Christian Ethics OUT when the alternate came in.

GOD BLESS you Sweetie !!! Everyone needs to be careful what they say, for the reason NO ONE knows what they may face in life. The people that you put down or walk over, may be the same person that may have to give you an drink of water one day.
