Depends on depth and the thickness of the earth's crust in that region. It can get up to 30 degrees hotter than the usual temperature of the ground near the surface so it can be up to 100 degrees. Coal mines have air conditioning to deal with this.

the river tend to be polluted ever can not hold long in

all underground mine are ventilated by blower air system
just that the deeper u go the near u get to the hot layer of earth
