whenever i see it, it grosses me out. I am guessing they do not clean their tongue? i sorta want to scrape it off and spread it on some toast.

It grosses you out but you want to scrape it off and put it on your toast? Yeah...ok. Anyway, its bacteria. When you brush your teeth, you should also brush your tongue or get a tongue scraper.

Cleaning your tongue with a tongue scraper or washcloth is necessary along with brushing your teeth. Rinsing with 3% hydrogen peroxide..let it bubble..will cleanse your mouth of harmful bacteria but not destroy the good bacteria. It will also help keep your gums healthy and your teeth white.

According to the Chinese the white tongue is indication of bad digestion. A chinese doctor can tell you more precisely where the problem is after he checks your tongue.

I have that & my doctor says it's Throat Cancer so it's not my fault.I'm on very heavy meds to control it cause I'm scared to have the surgery done they say once your opened up it spreads like wild fire.Other people may not brush their tongue but I do it's sad but mine is different

It could be plaque and leftover food which if left to accumulate will cause bad breath because it has a lot of bacteria. Or it could be a yeast infection.

depends on how thick the coating is. A thin white coating can be normal but if it is thick then they have a problem with phlegm.

maybe they don't rince after brushing there teeth or maybe they didn't brush there teeth and still have that nasty pasty stuff that you wake up to in the morning which causes morning breath?
