Why does people deny there is an anti Latino feeling?

Okay, you say you are against ILLEGAL immigration. But, you are also against having any signs in Spanish, music in Spanish, channels in Spanish just because you don't understand it. You are against somebody having their country's flag as a heritage sign but you still have those damned rebel flags waving all over the South. You say you are against illegal immigration but you watch as s hole Lou Dobbs who focuses ONLY on illegal immigration from Lattin America, he never says anything about the Irish people also protesting in the Mega Marchas. I am sick and tired of people saying we love LEGAL immigrants but they still don't want Latino immigrants whether legal or illegal to practice our own folklore. Even if you don't want to admit it, what happened against Jews in Germany is happening in the U.S. now except THANKS TO DEMOCRACY we might not go as far as they did.

I think that the big problem is that there are soo many different factions and each has their own issues. Some people dont like illegal immigrants because they think they steal tax dollars and dont pay taxes themselves, some are just racist, some think they should enter legally, and some who support legal immigration still feel like it wouldnt make sense to have things in spanish when the main language in america is english. I think overall people are just afraid of change and a lot of people think that immigrants from Mexico should work to make their own country better. I think also a lot of people who are racist or just dont like illegal immigrants dont want to admit it and make up other excuses. I dont know where I stand for sure. I do know that illegal immigrants are as much of a part of the us economy as an legal immigrant. Without them, the economy would fall apart, so something needs to be done to solve this immigration problem so that they can easily gain access but also be held responsible to pay taxes and things like that

Fist off this is America. There should only be the American language here. We should not be force to learn Spanish. It's the Latino that should know our language before they even come to this country. I work with all different kind of people that are here on work permit and they all say this. I have not watch Lou Dobbs. I don't even know who he is, but I do know that I am against any and all illegal. And I am against anyone who fly another flag over my own country flag. Those who do this should have there citizenship taken away or if they are not citizen then they should be deported. This is a disgrace to all those who have fought for this country.
Now for the Jews part. You don't know jack about what the Jews went though. My great grandfather was a German Jews. And I can tell you this that this isn't happening here in the US. It's not even beginning to happen here. So before you make a remark about something like this you better do your homework on it first.

I AM against ILLEGAL immigration - no matter what country the immigrant is from. If they are here illegally, then get the hell out. It is that simple.

I am against signs in another language (any language), but the music and television channels I could care less about. I don't think a country should have to cater to another language. If people come into this country, then they should learn the language. If I decided to go to France (and for the record, I do not know a lick of French), do you think they are going to have signs and stuff in English for me? You think the sales clerks at the shops are going to be able to speak English to me? Or are even going to give me the time of day if I can't speak French? NO. Why is the US held to a different standard? You know how much money we would save if we only had things printed in one language? A LOT.

Why does everyone focus on the illegal immigration from latin america? Because it is the number one offender of illegal immigration. It isn't hard to see that, and it sure doesn't take a rocket scientist to understand that the latin american illegal immigrants have put that face with the term "illegal immigrant". They have angered the US citizens, as well as those that immigrated here legally, and now they don't want to take the heat? TOO BAD.

I do LOVE LEGAL immigrants. I have friends of different nationalities, and I love their differences. But you know something? They also understand that they are in the United States. Yes - it is fine to hang on to some cultural heritage, but do so in your home. In the public area, you are American, or you are in America. Don't beat everyone over the head with your "different heritage". Fine - we get it. You are proud of your heritage. Well, I am proud of mine as well, and I think that when in "Rome", do as the "Romans" do. You're in the US, then you should assimilate to some of the US heritage as well. I would be expected to do so if I were in Mexico, right? Again with that double standard. . .

And how dare you compare the plight of the Jews in Nazi Germany to the "plight" of the illegal latin immigrants. The difference - the Jews LIVED LEGALLY in Germany - they were GERMAN!!!! The illegal latin immigrants are not US citizens, they are not here legally, and they certainly don't belong here. They come here by choice. If they don't like the treatment, maybe they should. . . What word am I looking for? Oh, yeah - LEAVE!!

We also don't have signs in Irish, Italian, French, Norweigan, Chinese, Japanese, Polish, German, African, etc. etc: not to mention all the Native American languages, if anybody has a right to complain it would be them. If you don't like Lou Dobbs don't listen to him, turn on a Latino music station instead and if your still not happy, move back home. This country was built by English speaking people it is the national language, but I think if you travel the world you will find more cultural diversity here than could even be imagined anywhere else.

I dont agree with you. There are plenty of latino immigrants (legal) who have been in this country for years. Making America a better place. People are angry..because....most illegals are from mexico..thats they are out protesting making themselves more visible to the eye...there are so many, not like they could hide. But anyway I think people are mad because the only ILLEGAL immigrants that are demanding that they have the same rights as Americans...are the latinos. If they would go back to their countries and do that same thing, maybe conditions would be better there and they wouldn't have to come here.

I agree with you about the rebel flags....i dont like that either, people need to get over it and realize that the SOUTH LOST!

I dont agree with you about what happened to the Jews is happening here. The illegals are being catered to. Everything is printed in their language for them. They have free medical, social and welfare services. They pay no taxes, they are having babies to draw food stamps, wic, and thier kids are getting an education at the expense of American tax paying citizens...sounds like a life of luxary to me.

I always wonder... Have those against immigrants ever traveled anywhere beyond their state? Have they traveled overseas? Because in that case, they'd LOVE diversity, and have a real blast enjoying what makes us all different!

Not traveling, or getting out enough does what it does to animals locked up: They get caged dementia.... Poor things

Well there are some known as Latin's which have good music dance and good food and they speak Spanish, but not all that speak Spanish should be considered Latin's. Before I knew any Mexicans i would eat at so Mexicans restaurants now I do not. here is the reason why

You are right about the anti Mexican/Latino sentiment thinly veiled as anti illegal. There are a few that are truly just against any illegal immigration.. I am one of them... but because I speak out against the racists I am called "pro illegal". And you are right about the flag.. the confederate flag should not be flown.. but they never cry and whine about that. I do not think I would relate it to Nazi Germany.. more like the KKK.

I'm sure there are some people against Latino's, but they are against everyone else, so just ignore them. We call them racists....
I personally don't care what signs or music you listen to, because it is a free country. Do what you want, I do.

What I do mind are

The demands to teach Spanish in Schools
The requirement to learn SPANISH in schools
Seeing fluent Spanish speaking students in Spanish classes
Written Driving Tests is Spanish
