My Mom passed away on August 31, 1991 in S.F. California. Her body was shipped to Texas. Upon arriving there she was to have been buried in a family plot beside her mother and father(Beatrice & Henry Duncan of Tenaha, TX) My Aunt accompanied her body to Tx, but I have NEVER heard from my Aunt since! I was told by my Aunt she would carry out my mom's request, but apparently this has NEVER happen. I'd just like to know where she's buried, and place a Head Stone on her Grave. If anyone has any information please contact me A.S.A.P!!

You could contact the city or town hall of Tenaha, Tx, and start by asking how many cemetaries they have. They may have only one or two. Ask them how you could get in touch with the office people at the cemetary. You could then call the cemetary and ask if your mother is there and what the plot number is. While you're asking ask also about Beatrice and Henry D. just to have the whole picture.

I hate to suggest this, but you could also ask someone at the town hall or cemetary to give you the names of funeral homes/crematoriums in the area. You could ask if they have any records in your mother's name.

I can't imagine if your aunt had your mother's remains shipped to her in Texas that she'd do too much travelling around as far as any other cemetaries go; so I suspect your mother must be in a plot in a reasonably local cemetary. Maybe your aunt got your mother a new plot for some reason. Sometimes the cemetary/law won't allow you to add a person to a plot of a certain size. If Beatrice and Henry have only a plot for two your aunt couldn't have had your mother put with them.

You can't just ask your aunt? Find out where she is and ask?

Don't forget that your mother's death certificate can be obtained from the San Francisco city hall. (I don't know if you'd need that, but I assume there may also be some kind of records of who the body was signed over to from, say, a hospital or whoever signed the death certificate.)

u can contact the mortuary in which your mom was in before she was shipped to texas to find out what funeral home or mortuary or morge was gonna take the body , then contact them to find out what had happened to her remains /body , some times even if its a family plot if there were expenceses thaty were not paid for before the survices some places will not bury them and if they do and the spot wasnt completly paid for by the due date it has been known that they will resume the body , do u have any other relatives in texas they may be able to go to the cemetary for u and ask the information desk where they can find the burial plot of your mom , the other thing is unless the spot next to your g parents was bought ahead of time they may have not been able to burrie her in that spot , they may have had to go a cheaper route seeing how your mom had to be taken somewhere else this cost money then the handling fee of her body , hurst , funeral home etc then the cost of the burial may have been a lil to much
