...would drinking your own urine keep you alive?

Urine contains high levels of salt. You would dehydrate quicker. So, "No!" drinking your own urine would kill you quicker.

If I were deserted on an island, I'm not so sure I would want to stay alive, especially if there was no chance of getting rescued. Besides, I'm not sure I could actually drink my own urine, regardless of the situation.

I've heard that it can. But as your body uses water, you would make less and less urine as time goes by, so you could only do this for a limited time.

If i had no other option and it worked yes other wise i think i would dig a hole till i found water or drink coconut juice instead

ya it sounds gross but in training it can keep you alive

I wouldn't care if it does keep you alive. I doubt it though. I wouldn't do that anyway...that's disgusting.
