I've noticed lately that one of my 15 yr old twins eyes are looking dialated quite often. She's admitted using marijuana in the past and is in counseling. But I'm concerned that she's back to this or something stronger.

Thank you all so much for your help. She has a doctor appt this week and I've called in advance to tell him she needs to be drug tested. I never smell marijuana on her or her clothes. she is thristy a lot and she doesn't eat much but hasn't lost weight yet. She is up almost all night long, sneaking out of the house. I always call the police and file a report on this and have told them also that I suspect drug use. My husband is also picking up a drug testing kit tomorrow morning. We'll get the one that test for multiple drugs. She's also more moody than she use to be. And yes, some things are missing from around the house (new clothes, a pair of binoculars). We have to keep things pretty locked up.

I have had first hand experience with marijuana and other drugs..im a college student and constantly surrounded by it. Marijuana doesnt make your pupils dialated, only red and maybe glazed over.. if her pupils are really big it could be coke makes your pupils really big, and it causes you too lose your appetite for days so if you notice her dropping some weight or a change in eating habits you might want to keep a real close eye on them. There are also other really harsh drugs out there like Meth for example that also make your pupils really dialated.

No marijuana doesn't dilate the pupils. It does, however, dilate the blood vessels in the eye area giving that stoner look. The redness but not dilation. My thought is look for other, yes, stronger drugs/ Like the stimulant families. What is plentiful and remarkably strong is the street produced meth. Speed. Crank. Does she eat well, has she lost weight? Increase or start smoking cigarettes? Does she sleep.

My husband was a heavy user of marijunana ,and it causes the eyes to become red the whites and they seem pariond ,but Cocaine does mess with dilation of pupils and let me tell you from what has happened to me its kinda hard to detect ,but here are some tips .loss of weight
not sleepie
selling stuff of hers money missing
watery eyes if using heavy
if snorting her nose will appear as she has a sinus infection
look around her room for short straws or empty ink pin barrows
this she would use if she is snorting ,some people smoke it .watch for her eyes to dilated big ,and mouth may twitch ,always watch for power in nose some times they get high and dont clean there nose out ,also watch for bottles of saline setting in her room they use this to clean there nose ,mom Im sorry to say all this but it is a drug that is raging everywhere in the world today ,pot is the old drug of peoples choice ,mom if you think she is using anything ,take her to have a drug test you are still in charge ,my husband almost died from cocaine that has poision in it .so dont look over this mom ,my husband read this question with me he was concerned as well ,its the devils candy .please put your foot down have her tested when she least expects it .my hubby said tell you that you can purchase the drug test at c.v.s and drug stores now .I truely wish you the best I have a 15 year old son .but from the experience I had with hubby its a very hard drug to stop he has been in rehab ,here is my address keep me posted ,brighteyeslou@yahoo.com .I will pray for you and her .

Yes it causes the pupils to dialate but so do a lot of other drugs. If you have any doubts get her drug tested out of the blue one day.

yes marijuana does cause the pupils to dialate, i would say that if shes admitted to using it before shes probably doing it again, and honestly therapy won't help it would just make her want to do it more, it could also just be stress or maybe crying so if u really want her to stop then sho her that u care and tell her that if shes doing drugs she can go to u and u will help her and if she doesnt want to be in therapy then she doesnt have to because she probably is wondering why she is in therapy for being a teenager

weed does make your eyes dialate but if she is high on weed her eyes will be blood shot and dry looking and she will have cotton mouth where her mouth is really dry. But if she is on something worst like cocain or meth. then she will be sped up and sometimes shaking and her eyes might not be blood shot. the best thing to do is to give her a drug test becuase u have the legal right to do so and i would advise you do this now so u can get her some help before you legaly have no right to do so. I have been there in her shoes and I wish someone would have done that for me.

Chances are she is using something other than marijuana. Thus she may be in more need of help than you might think.

yes alomost all drugs diolate the pupils daes she eat alot go to the local drug store and but a drug test for weed and just suprise her with it (make sure u suprise her with it cause there is stuff to clear ur system so she can pass)
