if so what type of fasts have you been on?

That is the only way we should fast when the Lord lead.If God has put this on your heart why ask man?

lets see... I've had my yearly fast for Yom kippur 11 or 12 times, (I don't remember)
I fasted for my Order of the Arrow Ordeal, (though that wasn't really religious or spiritual)
and occasionally fasted just because I felt like it.
not that big of a deal to me,... once you learn the discipline to simply not eat for 24 hours or so, and can do it without angst when you have reason to, its not that big of a deal.
