Ok so theres this guy I know that I have a teeny tiny crush on him. OK, MAYBE more then that but anyhow... He said he loves me but I dont know if I should say that we should go out or something. He's cute in a nerdy way. There's two problems : 1 - We've only known each for close too four weeks now. 2 - My father is gay. I don't want him... Well, hitting on him! He did that to my ex. How do I stop him from doing this? He won't listen to reason, words don't make him stop. I need help!

My dad already knows him. They have already met and my father seems to approve of him. I seem to have a sixth sense. I've lived with alcohol and abuse all my life so I know who's good and who's not. He's good!

My father is not stupid... He's already been in trouble with the law. I doubt anyone would go for him. Besides, I think he has someone else in mind so he may leave my friend alone... (whew, I would hope so, he drives me up the wall!) I'm thinking of asking him to coffee or something but he lives a half an hour away from me and has to take the bus. How would we get around this ?

I do actually believe in love at first sight. Its happened before but it doesnt work out all that great. I know I should wait but Im not going to make out with him or something! Im not THAT stupid! I certainly learned that lesson thanks to my cousin, she was only 15 when she lost her virginity! UGH! I dont even wanna be related to her anymore!

As far as for the guy....just spend more time with him and get to know him better.
As for your Dad....have a heart-to-heart and ask him to stop behavior like that. He should respect you, and you should make it a point to say you expect that...at least...from him.

Your dad hit on your ex? That is a problem that needs to be addressed or you and your father's relationship will continue to get worse. This seems to be a bigger priority then dating the guy right now.
Maybe just date the guy but don't introduce him right away and then give him a heads up about your dad later before he meets him.

The guy said he loves you?? And you're not sure if you should go out with him AND you have a crush on him??
Only 4 weeks shouldn't be an issue, you are NOT marrying the guy (at least I wouldn't think so, lol).
OK, so I take it the real issue is your dad...well, talk to this guy friend of yours and explain it to him. Ask your dad to not do this. If the guy your with ends up falling for your dad (yuk) then he wasn't worth keeping anyway...lesson learned.

aww im sorry to here ur having problems!! but i think u should farther ur relationship!! if he loves u then he will understand about ur dad!! just sit ur dad down and have a long talk with him tell him u really like this guy and to please respect ur wishes and dont even play around and dont hit on him!! ur dad should respect u enough to leave u alone! and second of r u sure this guy loves u!! if u only known him for 4 weeks and he already loves u thats kind of a short time!! but hey he might i believe in love at first sight!! well i hope i could help u!! i think u just need to sit ur dad down and have a heart to heart talk with him!! and i think u should sit ur boyfriends down and talk to him to and let him kno whats up and EXACTLY how u feel dont lead him on at all cause they may only hurt him! and tell him about ur dad just be honest wiht him!! well i hop i helped u out sorry if i didnt !!

I would get annoyed if my father was doing this too, but u cant stop urself from furthering your relationships because your worried your dad might hit on him. You should sit down with your dad and tell him is bothering you... and tell ur nerdy cute crush how u feel and what the problem is,

tell him the truth and ask him to stay away from ur father;
I mean u can't live alone forever just because of ur father.
the other way is u can negotiate with ur father, if he may stop or atleast not look at ur's bf.
