Mutiny is a no confidence in the captain or leader take to the degree where those with no confidence take over the helm or direction from the captain or leader.
Is it a bad or good thing depends on the situation. Had Columbus' crew mutinied we might never have reach the Carrabean Island or reached them a lot later.

huh? no mutiny is aboard a ship a miltary term. Military chain of command must be kept or else in battle their would be kaos and ultimate defeat.
