Now how come the carpet doesn't match the drapes? I'm a natural blond! This sucks.

Carpet and drapes is a better metaphor than you realise: They are not quite the same type of hair; different textures growing under the influence of different genes and hormones. All races have fairly similar carpets, but the genes for the drapes have drifted a lot in Caucasians. It could be worse - I have known a few guys with brown scalp hair and red beards, and beards are a sample of the carpet.

Since you're naturally light blonde, you can go ice blonde without bleaching. I know, coz I'm honey blonde and have done this without using harsh chemicals. Simply use a milder hair dye that shows a platinum shade on the box. It will take easily on light hair.

The carpet doesn't match the drapes necessarily; I've always heard that the carpet tends to match the eyebrows.

I was once married to a natural blonde and her carpet did not match the drapes either, in fact if you see pictures pertaining to the opposite then the carpet has probably been died.

Remember the old joke, what goes black, yellow, black yellow?

because the drapes are exposed to sun... just like at home... drapes will fade while the carpet stays vibrant and colorful... i`m a red head ..... strawberry blond hair with a crotch that looks like it`s on fire

Im the same way! I have honey blonde hair BUT the carpet is not really blonde either! I think its because I spend soooo soooo much time outside that the sun makes my hair lighter and lighter. Other than that- GOD only knows! lol

um, i don't get what you mean by carpet and drapes, but i am a dirty blonde(no that doesn't mean i do dirty things) and i really want light blonde hair, so be happy with your color. c'mon, even though brunettes love to party, we all know that blondes party more!

Because the drapes are exposed to bleaching sunlight. Presumably the carpet is not.
