she screams at me and hangs down the tele. she almost died saturday night from a cocktail of drugs, i've been steering clear of her, since i found out about her drug use. she'd been lying to me, so i backed off, confused and hurt. a bit of time has passed since she hung up on me, i still look like BUCKWHEAT!, did i just make it worse???

Who is she and what does she mean to you? No you did not make matters worse. She is going through hell at the moment and anyone could have gotten the same response. Embarrassed and afraid of judgement from family and friends is often the case in matters such as this. Give her time, she may never call, perhaps sending a simple card no more than three lines to express your thoughts and leave it up to her. Only she can make the decision to stop drugging. There is a great poem about friendships and how when we need a friend for any season. I'll try to send it to your e-mail.

She is not well, and is going through all sorts of emotions right now. If you want to do something, send her flowers or a card, but follow her wishes not to be called right now. I sincerely hope she gets the professional help she needs as she is very ill.

Don't worry about it. You didn't do anything wrong. She is messed up from the drugs and they are still in her system. Therefore, she is not in her right mind. It will take months of rehab to clean her up. In the meantime, stay away from her.

I don't think you can make the situation any worst.
But if I were you I would avoid her all together. I know that sounds mean, but if she is going to continue in the direction she is going, she is only going to drag you down with her.
She needs help. Help that you aren't going to be able to give her - she needs to go to rehab.
