LOL - The Devil and Sin messed up DNA and that causes humans to have a shorter life span? That's even better than the water vapor theory!

So it never rained before Noah's flood? Just a mist would "come up" and water things.
You have got to be KIDDING ME???

BeReal If that was a Christian response, then you need extra bibles classes or confession or something! You are what gives Christians a bad name.

The same way I did. I've been alive for 1073 years.
Or at least that's what I'm telling you, and since what's written here is the divine word of God, it's true.

You can create your own little rainbow. Go outside and cut off the end of your water hose and after squeezing the end of the hose with the water turned on and on the sunny side of the house you can create a mist and a rainbow.
What the above proves is that you cannot have a rainbow without direct sunlight. Which means that the water vapor idea is not that far out. You see the many fountains of the deep broke loose and the rain flooded the earth very rapidly. So with the water vapor gone you now have God's natural miracle - a rainbow
So going back to your original question, massive oxygen and no direct sunlight can add years to your life. There are rays of the sun that are harmful to us
Hyperbaric chambers is what they put burn victims in to provide much rapid healing. You will find out more by going here. http://www.amazon.com/Buried-Alive-Startling-Truth-Neanderthal/dp/0890512388

When the earth was reformed it was a perfect environment. It had a water canopy (that's part of what came down during the flood "the Firmament")that encircled the earth and kept out the suns rays that do so much damage. So it was a warm tropical environment. The Bible says it hadn't yet rained before the flood ,but a mist would come up and water. So you will notice after the fall of man that the lifespan got shorter and shorter as people began to pollute themselves.By the time of the flood the average age went from 900 years to 120 years, until today we are at about 75 years average.
Read Genesis chpt.5 and notice how the ages went lower and lower.

God cut short the days of life after Noah
also
Genesis 1:6-7 mentions “waters above,” a “canopy” of water that surrounded the earth. Such a “water canopy” would have created a “greenhouse effect” on the entire earth, and would have blocked much of the radiation that now hits the earth. This would have resulted in ideal living conditions on the earth. This seems especially so considering how quickly the lifespans began to shrink after the Flood. Genesis 7:11 likely indicates that, in the Flood, the “water canopy” was poured out on the earth, ending the ideal living conditions. Compare the ages before the Flood (Genesis 5:1-32) with the ages after the Flood (Genesis 11:10-32). Immediately have the Flood, the ages decreased dramatically

The usual answer given from the Bible itself is that in Genesis 6, as God is talking to Noah about the coming flood, He says that man will be limited 120 years in the future. People born after the flood rarely live beyond that age, and then only by a handful of years. But the time you reach the book of Psalms, chapter 90, there it says that the life expentency had dropped to around 70 to 80 years.
Following Adam's fall, God drove him from the garden to preventing him from eating from the Tree of Life and living forever. So it appears that God considers man living "on and on" in a sinful state is a bad things. This may have contributed to the shortening of the life span.
Some teach that with each generation from Adam, the life expentency shortened as part of the "death penalty" that came from Adam's sin. And while life spans do shorten throughout scripture, it is not explicitly stated that this is the reason.
The Bible also seems to indicate that before the flood, the earth was covered with a cloud canopy (similar to greenhouse effect only more so). This canopy would have blocked most of the harmful rays of the sun and could have contributed to people aging slower and living longer. It was the breaking of this canopy that caused the flood. Genesis 1:7 seems to show the creation of this canopy or firmament that divided earth and "heaven". Interested that it is the only thing created in Genesis 1 that it is not stated that "it was good".

LONG LIVES OF EARLY MEN
According to the early genealogies given in the scriptures, men often lived to be over 900 years old. Methuselah was the oldest living man recorded, being 969 years old when he died. Adam himself lived to be 930 years old. There is a specific reason why men could not live to be 1000 years old. God told Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden, that “in the day” they ate of the tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil, they would surely die. Since “a day” with the Lord is as a thousand years (II Peter 3:8), no man could possibly live beyond this length of time. All men would be required to die during that particular thousand-year “day.”
The planet was probably not polluted with toxins, viruses, and pure I would guess.

Because they are stories, not fact. All stories embellish to get a point across, much like Greek Mythology. They tell a tale to help the reader understand some other mystery. None of those things actually happened, but it helps people in their lives sometimes and that is where the bible can come in handy.

When God created humans, He intended that we live forever (Genesis 1:26-30). But when Adam and Eve sinned (Genesis 3:1-6), their punishment was death (not instantly, but they lost access to the Tree of Life, which eventually led to their deaths; Genesis 3:22). Adam was 930 when he died. Gradually, as the human race became more wicked, our genes lost more and more quality, so people lived shorter and shorter lives throughout history.
