It is an expression of your emotions, be it personal recording or fictional stories, just put in your thoughts in writing, as you would in talking. Playing around with words to build the story is like painting the colors of a house, these are things we can't do with conversational language. Likewise for structural analytical piece, you can go back and forth of your points and 'speak' them in the most structured ways, addding in supporting figures and facts. At the end of the day, you'll be amazed of how much you could accomplish by writing an essay

English was my favorite subject in school and I loved doing the essays. My son on the other hand is a total Math junkie- speaks fluent spanish and german but HATES English!!!!

I love writing creatively, so I enjoy it (if I like the subject I'm writing about). Sometimes they're a pain to write, though.

like others said depends on the subject if its about anything then its easy because all you do is let your imagination fly! lol BUT if it isn't then they can be a painin the butt to write!!
