Hi = "Sawatdee kha" (if said by a woman)
Hi = "Sawatdee khrep" (if said by a man)
"kha" and "khrep" are words to signify politeness and respect.
How are you? = "Sa bai dee mai?" or literally "You are well, no?"
I am well, thank you = "Sa bai dee, kop khun kha (or khrep)
[kop khun = thank you]
and you? (in return) = "lao khun la?"
-
"La gorn kha" (or khrep) is similar to "See you later" and is used to say good-bye.
Thai is a tonal language. There are five tones for every word. The tone changes the meaning entirely. The tones are normal, high, low, rising, and falling. When speaking Thai, the words must be spoken in the proper tone.

Hah hah! Good one.. last year, me and the guys backpacked across Asia. We were in Bangkok for a while.. anyways, we took one of our friends, Kurt, to a prostitute shop house place.. We presented him with 10 prostitues. They all looked EXACTLY like beautiful ladies.. very sexy indeed! We said, 'Kurt.. only one of these 10 is a girl.. chooose her and you HAVE to screw your pick..' It was a dare. Being the joker and sport he was, he accepted and choose the most girl looking one.. and they did it. He was so sure she was a girl. Once they were done, we burst out into a fit of laughter as we told him, 'You idiot! They were all men..!" =P

Although some of the answers you have received were quite useful, none of them translated your last phrase.
It is "Talk to you later", which translates as "Rau kui gan thi lang"

The following is informal and casual but not rude:
wad-dee kaab, (hi, hello)
pai-gon na kaab (bye)
Change "kaab" to "kaah" if you (the speaker) are female.
They are very alive and not textbook sentences!
