"Hate" is such a strong word. Parents can be less respected when they don't have the time to listen to you, or respect you. You feel like you hate them when they seem to forget your needs aren't important.
I've felt I hated my parents when they refused to let me come back home after running away. I thought I hated them when they always grounded me because my grades were so bad.
Later in life, I hated them for never comeing to see me, never wanting to see their 4 grandchildren I'd givien them.

Growing up is a hard thing to do. There are so many things to learn and so many choices to make. Parents start taking care of you the minute that you are born. They protect you, love you and teach you the life skills you need when you grow up. Because of your parents you are able to grow up and become successful and positive individuals. After awhile which usually begins in Kindergarten parents start separating from you and allowing you to be independent. It isn't easy to have a child that is totally dependent upon you and now wants to venture into the world without you. Parents want their children to be independent and be proud of themselves as individual but to them you are still their children. Parents love and cherish their children even when they become adults. The hardest thing about being a parent is "Guilt" because as parents we don't want to make mistakes that will change your life towards the negative. We still want to protect you and love you. Although it may seem like Parents don't care it certainly is more that we care to much. Love your parents because they made you who your are today. Most importantly they gave birth to you.

Its easier to blame those closest to use for our hardships.
Along the same lines, its easier to yell at someone close to you than it is someone who is more distant.

Eventually, I think most of us learn that we are taking out our problems with others on those we love.

Seems like to me the less the better. I noticed you hadn't gotten any yes answers at the time I answered. If you think you truly hate your parents now email me after you stand over their graves and tell me how much you hated them.

There are not reazon for anyone to hate there parents, have you been follow theirs rules?, have you find out why are they acting on the way they are?. Parents allways want their children's best . Talk to them and find out what is wrong.
