My first dog was a cute black female cocker spaniel. Then a beautiful collie that looked just like Lassie. Three english setters(one died from distemper) that were beautiful and smart. Then I had Scotty he was a cross between collie and english setter. He was way smart. We went to Europe and brought home a german shepherd from Germany. I got a norwegan elkhound. Then I had a little terrier that looked like Ralph, the sheep dog from looney tunes, just a lot shorter. My next dog was beautiful, but quite dumb- an afgan. A beautiful golden retriever and 10 dachshunds. These dogs have given me a tremondous amount of love that II can only be grateful for. I miss and love everyone of these dogs. Luckily I still have some with me today, tomorrow and everyday for the rest of my life. Dogs are truly the loves of my life.

2 awesome ones!! The male is a shepherd/husky mix mutt, and the female is a Black Lab/springer spaniel mix.

Both are loyal, loving, well-trained and friendly dogs. They are the type of dogs that would defend me and my friends and family from harm, share thier food with 4 cats and do whatever they can to earn another treat.... they are my 2 best friends in the world and I wouldn't trade them for any amount of money or material gain...

A Wild Boar colored Miniature Dachshund named My Man Lou after Lou Reed, who also keeps/kept dachshunds (as did Andy Warhol, and my grandmother! lol), and a Basset Hound named Princess AKA The Garbage Disposal.

All told, I've had a Dachsbracke, a Treeing Walker Coonhound, this is my third Mini Dachshund and my second Basset. I love keeping hounds, they're smart, fun and independent. Many people can't handle their training and think they're stupid. They're not, they've just been bred for centuries to be independent hunters, and many show a marked resistance to regimentation, or anything which they see as stupid ("Fetch what??? You've got feet!"). Although I've had several who trained easily (Lou heeled all on his own, and took it upon himself to walk my old Basset, then herd her back or drag her home by the ear, when he was 8 wks old), they tend to do better with an Alpha owner and crate training.

I have three, a Bishon Frise and two Chi Hua Huas named Pipo, Ricky and Rocky. Pipo is a spoiled brat who thinks he's a baby boy and hates being called a "dog" and Ricky and Rocky are always fighting. They are brothers from the same litter but they are like night and day. Rocky weighs 21lbs and Ricky about 15lbs. Pipo understands sentences, not just commands and has to eat whatever we are eating, so he eats breakfast, lunch and dinner. He does not eat day old food or leftovers, He knows the difference. Ricky and Rocky are pigs and will eat just about anything you give them.
