I received a CD for Microsoft Office 2003 Pro. I installed it over my student edition. No problems. The person I got the CD from said it came with Front Page. Sure enough, when I looked at the contents of the CD I found it and installed it. I find it odd though, because the person gave me a different serial key to use for it than the one I used for the office install.

So I guess my question is whether this is just a weird thing, or if it is an illegal thing? I'd be interested in whether other people who have office 2003 pro also have front page on the CD?

No it's not illegal, MS Office requires a certain key, and Front Page requires another, this is what you should look for when installing this, You will not have the same key for two different products, and they cannot be registered or activated with the same key either. Your good to go.
