Zyrtec is the best prescription allergy medicine but you better have insurance because it's too expensive. I pay $50 copay for a month's supply. It will cost $200-300 for a month's supply if you don't have insurance. The best out of the counter drug is Claritin but you can get the generic version of it by buying the store's brand like walgreen's allergy medicine. The key ingredient you need to look for is "Loratadine." You take one pill and it last for 24 hours. I have year long allergies, my doctor told me, so this is what works for me. Now, if none of these works, you probably need allergy shots from the doctor but you have to go 1 or 2 times a month depending on the severity of your allergies. The doctor can also do a patch test on you to see what you're allergic too so he or she can prescribe better medicines for you.

I like antural remedies the best-Black and stinging nettle are very good for allergies. BUT-If you can get honey made from within 30 miles from where you live -this is the BEST allergy medicine around, by far-trust me

Benadryl. The name brand kind. Some meds are ok in generic but I think this one is best as a name brand.
