If he does that wit every girl that he knows, then hes just fooling around. But if he is doing that wit you only, then hes flirting and he probably likes you.

It's hard to know with what's going on in a 16-year-old's head. Do you feel that the jokes are flirtatious or are they the jokes that you wish he could stop telling? If the jabs are kinda flirty you might give him your own. If the jabs are making you uncomfortable you could talk or tell him about it. Either way, he'll tell you what is really going on. And do it somewhere private, but not too formal so as not to scare him.

And I don't think you guys are too old for a bit of flirtatious joking around? I know a middle-aged man who does that quite often to the female gender, but all in good fun.

He deeply values your friendship and would be interested in dating, however, he wants you to make the move because he does not want to loose you as a friend.

If he knew that you would reciprocate, he would use a more mature tactic. He really does value you as a friend and won't do anything to jeopardize that.

How much do you value him as a friend? Is it worth loosing him should the relationship not work out? Is it enough that you could spend the rest of your lives together? Big questions that you must answer before you reciprocate.

How does he act around other girls? Maybe he's just a down-to-earth flirty person all around, and that's just how he interacts. But if this behavior is exceptional around you- I'm sure he has a thing for you. You never said if YOU liked him. Because if you do.. make sure you flirt back! Tease him, tickle and touch.. and drop the hint every now and then. Once things progress, you might want to ask him about it.. Good luck!

well... he might be flirting.. but ask yourself how do you feel about it? what do feel, he likes you or not? but i advice you not to assume yet that he likes so as not to embarass yourself.. wait for some more hints that would say he really likes you, cause that happened to me, he's so sum kinda sweet and everything that left me thinking that he liked me.. but oh man, just then i learned he doesn't and that ouches me so much..

Ask him If he is just being rude or does HE WANT YOU FOR HIS GIRLFRIEND-then that should let you know -and if he just wants to be rude-tell him to bug off! Hope this sets everything straight for you!

it could mean either he likes you or he is just being childish. why dont you sit down and ask him.. if he is your friend you should be able to talk to him right?
